@@Kevvroom72 hello and hope all is well with you . Wondering if you have put new brake pads on your bike I am ordering some I am hearing them and I have 50 miles on the bike and the stem has a squeak in it going to work on the squeak the pads I will get off of amazon. The tires are real good No hands on cruise control they are that good the bike is well balanced with the tires. let me know if you have changed the brake pads I have done it before was just wondering what you think of the brake pads that came with the bike. It might be because I live in West Virginia and it is the mountain state big steep hills here. the bike goes up them better than my 750 watt Azaria bike I pedal up them on level 1 pas and the bike goes up them pretty easy .
Dude you make it look so easy I've watched a lot of other videos on TH-cam where people are really struggling to get these tires on correcly so they center on the rim.
I bought an Eahora Juliet in February. Within the first 5 miles I had a flat from a thorn. A really small one like an 1/8 of an inch long. I was shocked how thin the stock tires are, way thinner then any bicycle tires I ever used. I just bought Tannus liners and slime tubes, this bike is too heavy to push. Once the tires wear out I think I will do this, it seems like a better solution.
I'm having the same issues with my front tire's bead popping out. Thanks for the info on the motorcycle tire size, I wasnt sure what size and if I could until I came across this video. This is also my first ebike and my first fat tire bike. Enjoyed your viseos on this bike, thanks.

Interesting, those definitely looked like a firmer rubber than the original ones. I'll have to see how my factory tires hold up out of the box when it arrives. Those do look good on the bike.
Fat tires for ebikes are just big bicycle tires. Unless you get aftermarket tires, when I looked last year they were $95-$150 a piece for thick motorcycle type tires. I've since found some for $75 each, plus shipping. My tires have 11 miles on them, on a new ebike so I have awhile. 🤏
I was looking at tire spoon levers while watching this. 20 or 30 bucks for the kit, usually 2 or 3 tire spoons and 2 or 3 plastic rim protectors, might be worth checking out. :)

I installed motorcycle tires once, had no problem getting them on. Yes they are much firmer tire so it’s a little bit of pain, but I could not get these things to Center on the rim. I had them off and on the bike probably 10 times before I gave up and put bike tires back on. To be perfectly honest, I ride pretty fast and you would notice the hop into. To you hit 20 miles an hour. I actually brought them down to a bike shop and had them remount the tires. Figuring they could do it better than I could and I had told them what the problem was. They told me I was all set. I went home and installed them, and it had the same problem if not even worse. That’s my two cents. I’m putting motorcycle tires on eBikes.

@@Kevvroom72 i’m curious why are the measurements different? Why would you go with the smaller motorcycle tire? Just trying to understand the formula in terms of making sure I don’t buy the wrong size.
I was looking at this, the juliet, or the romeo, obviously this was the most appealing by price but i live the look of the romeo, and the juliet kinda blended these two, or this blended tye juliet and the romeo since they added this after to kinda round of the romeo and juliet theme. Anyway was wondering what is a real life range test on this bike?
Yes i was looking at those too but i wanted 20 inch wheels and the Romeo has 26 and i like the looks of the cupid over the Juliet i haven’t done a serious range test but when i commute its in the dark so i have all the lights on going to work and leaving work and i get about 40 miles no peddling thanks for being here happy riding 🛵
Question? I noticed that speed and range has shorten, Is this a normal thing? Example my speed now is in the range of 25 mph and the range has gotten shorter. What is your speed and how far do you go with these tires per charge if you taken a note on that?
I didn't realize that about the 16" being the equivalent of the 20" for e-bikes. I'm going to try this with the off road ones they sell. I'm so tired of getting flat tires.

Hey man, great video. How are these tires holding up? I’m thinking about buying this set. I have a BMX style e-bike. It came with them ugly 20x4.0. I’m a heavy guy. 300lbs so I know the fat tires will be good for my weight. But these motorcycle tires seem like a good option. The rims on my bike are 2.5 inches wide so they would fit perfectly
Yea man I am heavy too 250-260 and I love these tires I don’t have to worry about a flat plus they are way more stable at high speeds I got another e-bike the other day and I have a new set ordered but I already got a flat so I am putting them on all my bikes
Hi there great video. I have a Ebike and my tire size is 20x4.0 what tires do you recommend I'd likt to get something like yours. Plus i upgraded the motor to 5000 watt but i dont punch it im a cruiser and good for uphill
Sure there’s links to the tires In the description you can click on them and it should take you right to the tire. but here’s the sizes anyway it’s a 16x2.75 and a 16x2.50 and they are on Amazon Have a wonderful day
There is a link in the description I will put one in for the tubes too but until then her is the link for the tubes (2 Pack) AR-PRO 2.25/2.50-16”... www.amazon.com/dp/B07WM2GZCN?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
If you're poping the bead , I bet that the issue is the metal ring inside the tire has broken from rusting out, maybe old tires , I had a kenda that I just bought do it .
The bead was popping from the bicycle tire the bead was bad not the motorcycle tire and yes I def like the motorcycle tires waaaaay better the bike tires are not good imho have a good day
I have a 26x4 tire right now, are there any tires of that size that you would recommend? I am thinking about changing them out soon since I've worn them down quite a lot since I got the bike.
Man I messed up and got the same 2.75 tire you did but I have a 20x4 rim at first I didn’t notice you had a 20x3 so now I don’t know if it’s going to fit on mine any chance you might know if it’s still going to work?
The company has allowed me to order a set, it is the bead in the Compass tires that are the problems. Tire Bead Damage "Tire bead damage can be caused by improper tire installation, hitting a pothole or curb, or simply regular wear and tear. Too much bead damage, characterized by constant air loss or a compromised seal between the tire and rim, usually calls for tire replacement."
The bead damage was straight out of the box which tells me that the tire company made a bad batch and there are several people that have had the same problem out of the box I think the motorcycle tire is the way to go it works great. Have a blessed week man 🛵
Great tutorial except that not all bikes are made the same, If you go back to when you removed the rear bolts you will see that in the end they were switched around go back to 3:13 and end 8:38 you will see that the nuts were switched opposite side though in other bikes this is the way to put those nuts but factory is the opposite side if that makes sense hahaha other than that great tutorial :)
I just didn't want you to have an accident but the way you put it own the end is how its suppose to be installed well all;east the way I always installed the nut so I don't get why Eahora added it that way but I'm sure they had their reasons and that's is why I pointed it out to you 🙏 I personally don't ride the Cupid but I had bought it for my brother so that's why I watched your video because he wanted the same tires installed and so I bought it and installed it but got confused why the nut was the opposite way from my other bikes.
All rims are not the same, I have to trim the same tire to get it on , and usually have to use a razor knife to remove. Bicycle rims are more fragile than motorcycle rims , and yes their are beneficial reasons to use a moped tire, such as being more puncture resistant and being dot approved so they don't blow out at higher speed. Also the tire is more stiff so you might notice a smother ride if you have rear suspension. Also If u get a flat u might be able to push the bike home because of stiff sidewalls . It's best to get the correct rim made for the tire. And use tire talc to avoid friction flats, and yes they do make rim protectors , so u don't scratch the rim .
And with this mod, you've made your tires 200% harder to puncture. In the motorcycle world, putting a car tire on a motorcycle is called the "darkside", so naturally, I have to assume this is E-bike darkside. This is going to make your tires last forever, and they'll be safer too.
I don’t believe they make anything big enough for 26 inch wheels thats why i went with a 20 inch bike but the Kenda and schwallabe tires are outstanding i have a video frim tire upgrade on my gas bike 🛵
That bike must have narrower rim, because on aq177 i got a tire 80/80-16 and the rim is like 8cm so is difficult to insert the valve because also the walls are so small of this tire... It won't fit so easy as you just pull it with bare hands. Oh well, 2 hour later. Nothing
Just sub, your like me FAT, I RIDE A BEZIOR XFOO1, my 1st upgraded was Jun tech hydraulic brakes 203mm on front & 180mm on rear. 2nd upgraded shinko 110/70/16 tires just on rear.
My range is just fine and if the motor can’t handle it than we will find out. lol it’s a amazing upgrade waaay better than those cheap tires that come on these bikes 🚴 have a good day
@@Kevvroom72 Something no ebike *_rider_* has ever said. "My range is just fine." It's the size of the tires _that makes them ridiculous,_ Kevin. I'm pretty sure the little lame hub motor will be just fine for you, kid.
I think you only have know what you're doing. Those plastic things you are referring to are Tire levers and I've changed hundreds of tires and I've never broken a single plastic tire lever because I know what I'm doing. You should never use a screwdriver with or without a rag
Just bought one and had the same problem of the back tire which came deinflated, poping off the rim, i have been in contact with th3 supplier via amazon, they have not denied me anything (yet) but they do take a whole day just to reply with stupid questions and stupid answers, they are just trying to make the free delivery wear off but i bought the insurance for 2 years so, f*ck them.
How much battery power does it drain roughly ⁉️🤷🏽♂️⁉️
Hi sir, nice video, one question, how are these wheels still working? Are they good after 6 months of use?
Oh yes still no problems at all with the upgrade
Question? I noticed that speed and range has shorten, Is this a normal thing? Example my speed now is in the range of 25 mph and the range has gotten shorter. What is your speed and how far do you go with these tires per charge if you taken a note on that?
No mine didn’t change check your settings in the display
Belle.
What was the size of the tires you replaced? I have 20X4 tires.
16x2.50 front 16x2.75 rear
They did not do that for mine and im missing hardware.
Do they need different inner tubes?
What size rims do u have I'm sorry I didn't catch it
20 inch bicycle rim or 16 inch motorcycle rims there the same size
Do you know what tubes to get with the tires? Or do the tires that you list come with tubes already included?
The tubes are listed in the description with a link
I need to do the same
How is 2.5-16 and 2.75-16 size equivalent to some tires using the likes of 110/90-16 measurement?
I didn't realize that about the 16" being the equivalent of the 20" for e-bikes. I'm going to try this with the off road ones they sell. I'm so tired of getting flat tires.
I know right it’s a beautiful thing those bike tires suck have a great day 🛵
@@Kevvroom72 I have an update. I bought the enduro style of those tires and just got done installing them. Man was that a struggle. I think they're the same size 16x2.75 and 16x2.50. I'm hoping these tires last awhile because I'm not looking forward to changing them, lol. I'm going to try to post a video of them soon and reference your channel. You're an anti-flat tire lifesaver. Thanks.
yes they can be difficult to install but the will last longer i am glad this info helped on my next build i will try the endouro tires and send me a link to you video i would love to watch it Happy Riding @@ELECTRICBIKEDIYLIFE
@@Kevvroom72 I was actually incorrect, they're dual sport tires but the same brand. th-cam.com/video/lDtZm_FoONo/w-d-xo.html
Do you think this will fit a 20x4 fat tire rim
It might be a little tight but if the profile of the tire is not to wide it might work
For 26" wheels the Duro Beach Bum is a very much like a motorcycle tire, very tough.
It looks like it I want to try sone of those for my board tracker next time
@@Kevvroom72 Cheers!
on my seeker i use chaoyang sand storm 26x4... much better as the knobby cross tires
Hi there great video. I have a Ebike and my tire size is 20x4.0 what tires do you recommend I'd likt to get something like yours. Plus i upgraded the motor to 5000 watt but i dont punch it im a cruiser and good for uphill
The motorcycle tire equivelent is 16x4 that would work great how do you like the upgrade ? I am thinking about going up to 72v 3k set myself
@@Kevvroom72 it's great for long distance and uphills especially if I'm carrying someone with me. I have the 72 volt but I'm still new to the game
@@hericherrera7627 i hear ya bro but thats why i started posting to meet some like minded people and learn from each other🛵
@@Kevvroom72 can you send me the info to order the tires
Is any good on gravel and sand?
I ride on mostly pavement so I wanted stability at higher speeds I think there great street tires but it’s fine on the little bit of gravel I ride on
If you look at most ebike tire the max loads are 198 which is crazy
Plus it looks like there injections molded or something it’s not very good however it’s done except the Schwallabe and kenda ebike tires are awsome 🛵
I have julian e bike can you please tell the size tire and what kind of tire wear you get them please
Sure there’s links to the tires In the description you can click on them and it should take you right to the tire. but here’s the sizes anyway it’s a 16x2.75 and a 16x2.50 and they are on Amazon
Have a wonderful day
Happyebikes has great tires
Anybody have a link to ties and tubes that were used? Thanks in advance
There is a link in the description I will put one in for the tubes too but until then her is the link for the tubes (2 Pack) AR-PRO 2.25/2.50-16”... www.amazon.com/dp/B07WM2GZCN?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
How do 16 inch wheels equal 20 inch wheels?
If you're poping the bead , I bet that the issue is the metal ring inside the tire has broken from rusting out, maybe old tires , I had a kenda that I just bought do it .
The bead was popping from the bicycle tire the bead was bad not the motorcycle tire and yes I def like the motorcycle tires waaaaay better the bike tires are not good imho have a good day
100% was a manufacturing defect. Same happened to many for the 1st run of cupid
I have a 26x4 tire right now, are there any tires of that size that you would recommend? I am thinking about changing them out soon since I've worn them down quite a lot since I got the bike.
CHAOYANG sand storm 26x4
Man I messed up and got the same 2.75 tire you did but I have a 20x4 rim at first I didn’t notice you had a 20x3 so now I don’t know if it’s going to fit on mine any chance you might know if it’s still going to work?
What size will fit for 26 inch bike wheel
I am not exactly for sure but it should be 22 inch
look the CHAOYANG sand storm 26x4
how do 16 inch tyres fit a 20 inch rim?
16 inch motorcycle tires are actually 20 inches around they are measured different than bicycle tires
The company has allowed me to order a set, it is the bead in the Compass tires that are the problems. Tire Bead Damage
"Tire bead damage can be caused by improper tire installation, hitting a pothole or curb, or simply regular wear and tear.
Have a blessed week man 🛵
Hey the tires I looked at Amazon and look like the bigger tire and smaller tires
Yes in the set the front is narrower 2.50 and the rear is wider 2.75
Even though heavier, did the aerodynamics/grip increase your top speed at all?
No but it feels a loot more stable and nimble and I have no fear of flats anymore
Did you put the smaller size tire in the front or back
Front
What type of tube would I get for those Kevin? I just checked them out I wasn't sure about the tubes though
There’s a link in the description of the tubes I used
@@Kevvroom72 ok thanks a lot man I really appreciate your replies
Get a HomeDepot bucket and then you can work on the tire easier. Just plop it on top.
Can I get 26×4.0 fat tires?or replace them with motorcycle tires?
The 4 inch tires might be a little tight and rub a little
CHAOYANG sand storm 26x4
@dg9bfc thank you!
Obviously you have to figure out what works for your bike but at least this helps you figure it out thanks have a good one
What size for 24" x4?
I think it would be 20 inch
Hey. What tubes do you recommend? I'm so tired of these tires that come stock
Check out the links in the description they work great
Motorcycle rim tools are cheap and work very well...
Yes there are some differences but these tires work great thanks 😊
put hard foam under the seat to raise it an inch.
Nice I am glad it helped have a great day
And with this mod, you've made your tires 200% harder to puncture. In the motorcycle world, putting a car tire on a motorcycle is called the "darkside", so naturally, I have to assume this is E-bike darkside. This is going to make your tires last forever, and they'll be safer too.
Would these work 20x4 I seen you have a 20x3?
I think they would, but it’s going to be a little tight. I think the space between dropouts is a little over 5 inches. 3.5 would work pretty good 😊
3.5 tire size?
I was looking for bigger tires :)
Nice
Wow so you've put a 16in motorcycle tire on these 20in bicycle rims??
Yes a 16 inch motorcycle rime = 20 inch bicycle rin
@@Kevvroom72 thank you. You helped me in getting better tires for my EUY S4 bike. Made a huge difference and rides much better
The rims are 16” inside diameter
So a 16in motorcycle rim is a 20in bicycle rim just so I'm not confused?
Now show me the ones for my 26x4 bike like those.
I don’t believe they make anything big enough for 26 inch wheels thats why i went with a 20 inch bike but the Kenda and schwallabe tires are outstanding i have a video frim tire upgrade on my gas bike 🛵
CHAOYANG sand storm is what use on my 26 inch fatty
The front tire is rougher than a cobb, I couldn’t even ride it 2 miles the rear tire works well
Did you soften your forks ? I had to do that
All the way.
Narrow tire is more economical on power
Yes I agree
That bike must have narrower rim, because on aq177 i got a tire 80/80-16 and the rim is like 8cm so is difficult to insert the valve because also the walls are so small of this tire... It won't fit so easy as you just pull it with bare hands. Oh well, 2 hour later. Nothing
Just sub, your like me FAT, I RIDE A BEZIOR XFOO1, my 1st upgraded was Jun tech hydraulic brakes 203mm on front & 180mm on rear. 2nd upgraded shinko 110/70/16 tires just on rear.
Nice thanks for being here happy riding 🛵
Because you wanted even less range? Or do you want to test their one-year guarantee on the washing machine motor?
As for the bike itself feels a little cheap however if you are more interested in distance autonomy than speed than this is actually the best bike out there for 1k$
Yes I think so too she’s not fast but she will go the distance take care friend
Too bad you cant get street tires on new folders. My friend got 1,900 miles on the original tires, I get 700 miles usually on mine.. I don't ride off road, and i dont like loud knobbies. I just subscribed, and over 65, daily rider of my ebike. Radpowerbikes does use good tires on their new bikes.
Thank you for subscribing and I am always looking forward to other peoples input. So thank you for commenting too. I hope you continue to enjoy the content 🛵
I'm back. I found some thick motorcycle street tires for $117 for 2. I'm considering motorcycle knobbies, My new ebike has 300 miles, and there is no noticeable wear yet. I'll wait until winter to change them. Thanks again, ride safe.
Less range , torque and max speed. Also weight of tire is not good for hub motor.
Nope the motor will be just fine 😎 but thanks for posting have a great weekend
