my primary interest in getting an e-bike is towing a single wheel trailer, deep woods camping with solar panels for charging.
@@Kevvroom72 yah, but i'm fatty fat fat. might need something beefier to sit on.
@@felderup I am 260 and they tow me around pretty good there’s a bit of torque in that hub motor
@@Kevvroom72 260 is sorta chubby, still a tad light for what i'm talking about.
Loving mine so far, have just over 300 miles on mine now, I get around downtown Austin faster than the cars do with this ebike. It's definetly different than most of the other ebikes I see around town, gotten a few compliments and people wanting to check it out.
Yes its a unique bike compared to the other ones and i like the little compartment and yes i bet you do great in austin cause traffic sux lol that is awesome. i stay here in bastrop its a ton of fun 🛵
I like seeing all the upgrades and mods you do to this thing. You are literally the only one with videos on this bike. And yes to the 72v 3000w mod. Oh and how is that shunt mod working out?
Thanks i am glad these videos help. The shunt mod is ok i noticed a wee bit more torque but not much else. i really dont think its worth the extra torque to voild the warranty tho
I am buying the cupid this weekend off Amazon to commute.. I would love to see you do a 72v anything mod.. I feel you are much safer going with traffic than riding beside traffic if you can get it fast enough
I use it to commute but I go in roads that are mostly that are 25 mph so it’s not a issue but yes I feel the same way on busy roads needs to keep up it does around 30 mph
Eahora recommends those tires now
Nice one day I will get paid for my awesome skills lol 😂 it’s actually nice to see they listen to us happy riding 🛵
3k , I seriously dought that frame would be able to handle anymore then that. I mean honestly , a good 1500 or 2k with 72 volts is going to make a HUGE DIFFERENCE.
Yea I am sure 2 k with a 80a controller would be just fine but that frame is build well enough for a 72v 3k but that’s about it thanks buddy have a good one
Yeah I seen this one guy has a stock 1000w rear hub motor, upgraded controller and just upgraded to a 60v battery and picked it up to 45 mph.
@@iwasframed1370 yes since I am new to these things I was thinking about experimenting with the stock hub and see how much it can take
@@Kevvroom72 That sounds awesome. I love these kinds of experiments. Looking forward to the videos man. Keep up the good work.
You are going to burn the misfets up on the controller. I did it and I ordered a new controller for 160 dollars! The configuration is so unique there is only 2 bikes that have the same set up. The most expensive controller on the internet. It does come completely unlocked and gives you full access to all the settings and enables it to be hooked up with software. So we'll see how it works out. I'll let you know. I need to get some taller tires. Tight turns you scrape the pedal. So keep in mind the bigger battery could burn your controller up especially with the shunt modification. Remember max load is 25a that is a lot. The controller upgrade comes with 30a. I think a 3k motor and the controller upgrade will get you to around 40-43 mph. You have to be careful with the range so consider getting a 48 v battery with 40ah or even 60ah. Let me know how it goes
Hey Kevin do you know the controller amperage that came with cupid? And is there a setting in the display to bump up to max output? They just sent me a display settings manual and an owners manual to download, i couldn't find the amp output for the controller, or a setting to change it, thanks again man, mine be here tomorrow apparently.
how do you adjust the rear suspension cause its nob doesn't move
You have to take the weight off the rear and use a pair of channel locks it will loosen up
Hello I am thinking about purchasing this bike and I wanted to ask about the range you said 40 to 50 me is this with throttle only or with pedal assist or can you get farther with lower pedal assist and I also wanted to ask about top speed I had seen a video on TH-cam where they unlock the settings and got this bike up to 34 mph I wanted to know if that was your experience as well
Yes i am a little heaver and was at 32mph consistently and pedal assist does hep but i never really used it but at the price point the battery goes a long way
Anyone have any issues with the throttle/engine not going? I just put 30miles on my Eahora Cupid and that issue just happened
I haven’t heard of that yet hopefully customer service will take care of it
Would changing the wheel diameter on the display break my cupid? Have you tried?
@@Kevvroom72 Yeah I tried it already. It's just the display that changes. The actual speed doesn't change. I tested it on all the wheel sizes with GPS speedometer and no change in speed. It's just the bike display that it's tricking.
How much do you weigh and whats the top speed you get on it, thanks.
i am 5'10" and weight 252 and it will go 28mph on flat land thats why i have the fat man on the scooter in my profile pic lmao
@Kevvroom72 Thanks, I'm gonna order one tonight. I hope it's worth it
Getting my cupid in 1 to 2 weeks. I hope all will be fine. It'll be my first ebike
Edit: how heavy is the bike ? Thanks if you ever see this.
Try 84 volts and 8000watts
We'll this bike fit in the bike rack
Not sure it might be a little heave so check the weight limits on the rack
I ride mine 14 miles a day and charge it every other day
Yes I modified the controller before I did the range test so now it wouldn’t count but yea I charge every 35-40 miles too and am not on empty just not enough for my round trip thanks for the info 🛵
just wondering how does the suspension feel?
It feels ok it’s really cheap shocks and I try to adjust them but upgrading to fix or Roxshox would make a huge difference
@Kevvroom72 Okay okay thanks as being a taller rider at 6'3 do you think I'll be comfortable on it?
Ofcourse with a controller that can make it all work effectively
There are some cool kits I am looking at the grin stuff there controller is programmable and you can set the parameters to your liking
I put on these tires and the ride is harsh and traction poor.
Yea i had to make the suspension softer but i still think its worth it take care man
I got the Eahora Romeo Pro and I'm loving it. Such a great bike with power and incredible stability. Getting around town here in Los Angeles has now become a game changer.
I'm just blown away with the craftsmanship that was put into designing this bike and I'm sure the craftmanship is reflected in the other models as well including the Cupic.
Eahora is an amazing bike company and even the support they give you is amazing. Nothing but love for them.
Yes its a great company i have had all wonderful experience with them i want to try a romeo pro it looks great i bet you can get around better than most cars now 🛵
