Throughout the course of the story, the Suicide Squad also interacts with other characters, including Diana Prince / Wonder Woman the only member of the Justice League not under Brainiac's control; Rick Flag, an A.R.G.U.S. operative working for Waller; Lex Luthor a megalomaniacal billionaire and Superman's arch-nemesis; and Edward Nigma / The Riddler a supervillain who challenges the Squad with completing various puzzles across the city. Supporting Squad members include Oswald Cobblepot / The Penguin a Gotham City crime lord and weapons dealer who supplies the Squad with anti-metahuman weaponry; Mikron O'Jeneus / Gizmo, a vehicle expert who develops various means of transportation for the Squad; Hack, a technomancer who monitors the Squad's neck bombs and provides them upgrades; Hiro Okamura / The Toyman, a mechanical genius who idolizes the Justice League; and Ivy a reincarnated version of Pamela Isley / Poison Ivy who died during the events of Arkham Knight, with no memories of her past life. Four additional playable Squad members are set to be introduced during the game's post-launch seasons, including the Joker, an alternate reality version of Batman's arch-nemesis who died at the end of Batman: Arkham City (2011)
Remember what Kilowog from Young Justice said, the reason why a lot of people on Earth become Green Lantern is because of the “screwy conditions” on that planet.
@@wizofhellAnd Out of the 4 of them though, King Shark does kinda seem like the least villainous & the most moral So I guess it would sorta make sense in a way for the Ring to work for him & make him "Green Shark" - I'm also guessing that just like how Braniac changed how Superman reacts to Green Kryptonite, perhaps Braniac was able to make changes to John's Ring so that it works differently to how most normal Green Lantern Rings work
You mean the lore that has changed greatly across multiple continuities and universes? The lore that allowed an evil Batman to force the ring to kill just with will power? Clearly you haven’t read all lore.
@Megaproductions302 Out of all things someone forcing a ring into submission through sheer will, which is what it feeds off of for strength, actually makes the most sense. I mean it's literally built around the power of will so if your motivation is stronger than the one behind its creation it would make sense to override its functions. Kinda why Batman isn't seen using a green or yellow lantern ring at all because he would break a lot of the barriers that other characters have with them simply because Bruce is HIM in every universe.
think of it as remember at the green lantern movie, when that one guy was given a lantern ring for a few moments, and it worked, but then hal Jordan took it back because the ring didn't choose the other person
Doesn't the ring automatically find a new owner when its current user dies? And iirc it doesn't like to be forcefully removed from its user. And what's with King Shark losing control? Isn't that more like a red lantern ring gimmick?
Depends on the earth. There are plenty of iterations of the lantern Corp and how their rings work. For example there is an earth where the green lantern Corp doesn't exist and the power is given by the earth itself as the protector of the green, usually swamp things gimmick. There are even moments of others taking the ring directly from a dead lantern and becoming the next. The ring finding a new wielder is situational on what earth tbh
DC once again ruins Green Lantern! King Shark was not even worthy of the ring "the most powerful weapon in the universe." He was not chosen or trained, next the ring is tossed into the river completely forgotten. Even made a joke saying the sacred oath.
Ok, honestly, the Green Lantern shark scene looked cool. But! Can someone explain to me how the writing makes any sense? Down to part where shark was about too lose control. How and why?
I very much hope that the people upset about this are also the same peoplewho were upset about when Daffy Duck, Oswald Cobblepot and a bunch of other people were able to put on a GL ring and use it. If you're not, then you're just a bunch of hypocritical childish overzealous fanboys instead of actual fans who care about consistency

Wow you're exactly the dumb consumer they're targeting for this product. Just blindly enjoying bullshit that shits on already established lore and rules.
I mean, it should've just showed the ring removed from John's finger and flies into King Shark's pinky. Along with removing the scene of him losing control so we could play as Green Lantern Shark
To everyone saying thats not how the ring works....you obviously dont understand that different earths lantern corps are different. There is literally an earth where the green lantern takes the place as avatar of the green instead of swamp thing. There are plenty of reasons why this would work lore wise. Stop griping and enjoy the awesomeness that is The Green Basking Shark of will
The so called self proclaimed all knowing “fans” who are claiming that the Green Lantern ring has always had a no kill policy clearly don’t know all because there are numerous times that policy has been broken in comics and other media (cartoons included). The rings can and have been altered in the past by various characters including the Green Lantern Batman who uses his own will to overpower the ring’s policy and make it kill in Dark Nights Metal. The game also clearly explains each hero was changed by Braniac’s process like with Superman being immune to green kryptonite. He obviously altered the ring like he altered the other heroes hence why it kills. Seems all the “true fans” clearly don’t know all about the expansive source material they claim to love.

im fairly sure thats not how the ring works
Remember what Kilowog from Young Justice said, the reason why a lot of people on Earth become Green Lantern is because of the “screwy conditions” on that planet.
When King Shark’s more HIM that you’ll ever be
Not at fucking all, also if he did get it on the in would resize to fit his hand
Even so it was kinda cool to see "Green Shark"

Leave it to DC writers to not even get their GreenLantern lore right
Best Green Lantern writer
Ah we pretending that sfuff in dc is consitent?

Superman had becoming like his Regime Counterpart.

Situational necessity, I assume. The Ring probably gave King Shark a freebie for a few minutes, then went on to try and kill him.

5:19 okay there is the naked jhon stewart XD
He still has underwear on
Supermen looks so scary in that thumbnail
Better writing with a had a Red lantern ring coming to king shark and him being a red lantern in for the rest of the game
Play as a red lantern king shark would be amazing aswell this game was such a missed opportunity
Sometimes there are no justice u have to fight or destroy it.
Even for Evil Superman and Evil Flash,
They should've get BIG Death Cutscenes.
But NO, nicely done Rocksteady😭😭😭
Yeah... that's not how those rings work.
Sure bud…
everything is wrong with that game. they dont even get the lantern lore right
1: they should've kept eyes on shark😂
2: KING SHARKS LIGHT😂🎉
It’s not all about you, King Shark. 🤦♀️
Even so it was kinda cool to see "Green Shark"
DC once again ruins Green Lantern! King Shark was not even worthy of the ring "the most powerful weapon in the universe." He was not chosen or trained, next the ring is tossed into the river completely forgotten. Even made a joke saying the sacred oath.
If this ruined green lantern for you you didn’t care much to begin with
Did anyone else notice Green lanterns body getting zapped up by brainiacs ship? 6:11
Weird I remember the Ring leaves if it’s owner was killed
Well it doesn’t really make sense, but you have to admit it was kinda cool
Ok, honestly, the Green Lantern shark scene looked cool. But! Can someone explain to me how the writing makes any sense? Down to part where shark was about too lose control. How and why?
Same reason how Sinestro lost control of the Green Lantern ring
How's King Shark worthy to be a Green Lantern?
Same reason Sinestro was worthy
Why didn't the ring adjust itself to fit kingshark?
his heart is pure

OK what that ring is green and aren’t green lantern ring were supposed to be good.
I don’t mind, it interesting but what

Bruh the DC fans in these comments are unbearable 😂. It’s a video game goddamn. It works if it’s entertaining and this was hilarious as hell
Wow you're exactly the dumb consumer they're targeting for this product. Just blindly enjoying bullshit that shits on already established lore and rules.
“Yeah you enjoy your franchises and it’s consistency? Well screw you, being cool is better than making sense!”
People like you are the problem.

This whole game is just one bad fanfiction. This isn't even comic accurate anymore.
