Hair does that when it is thirsty. After you finish washing your hair, let it dry how you normally do until it's damp but not wet. Then apply a leave-in conditioner that suits your hair type. Doesn't have to be a specially formulated one, even certain oils do the trick (I use argan). Try doing this once a week at first, then increase frequency as required

@@linhduong0809 Good observation. I wonder if it's because of a mix of scarcity mindset ( given how small Singapore is, the opportunities are always less compared to US or Europe) and cultural factors (e.g. can't disappoint parents etc., No sense of independence/ independent viewpoint as they stay with their parents mostly..). But what really surprised me is how so few people actually leveraged their powerful passport to explore different parts of world or even worked abroad.

Most of them are just on their phones (can’t blame them tho) 😂

It's not like you get a car at 30s and can keep the car when you reach 50s.. it's not work that way..

The nice and friendly didn't happen to me until after a few months 😭. The hawker centre ppl always yell at me, look so done with me, and would gimme side eyes until they memorised my face and started greeting me. Only a few ppl were nice to me. The rest was simply ready to fight me. I envy y'all's experience. After a while and after a little bit of exploring, I found places with nice ppl. But, boy, my social anxiety was off the roof the first time I got here. My mom and I almost cried. They're really nice to me now tho.

We take time to warm up. Having lived overseas, I find friendliness to be relative. Westerners ask "how are you" but they don't really mean to know about your mental health. It feels nice and cosy as if someone cares about you, but after awhile, it's just another day to day greeting. In Singapore, we dont greet because of the fast pace, but if we ask you "how are you", we really mean to know if you are really coping well and will be ready to spend time listening to you.

Car is a social status symbol in Singapore. Even the most basic car costs a fortune because you have to pay for certificate of entitlement, and other permission. Basically you spend more on tjese permissions than the car. And you can only keep the car for a certain duration.

Cars here are very expensive so they can manage the number of cars on the roads, this is to reduce the number of traffic jams, and to reduce the emissions from cars. Not only that though, driving into certain areas will charge you extra, and parking, depending on where you are, can be EXPENSIVE
Even in residential areas they'll charge you for parking if you don't have a season pass! But as you said the public transport is AMAZING and we're pretty well connected :)
Im glad you enjoyed Singapore, and I hope you visit again! As expensive as it can be.
Also here's a tiny lil tip for those who plan on coming:
    Want to eat fast food?
Enter more residential areas, they food there is much cheaper.
Want to go to a supermarket?
    Look for NTUC/Fair price :)
Cold Storage can be much more expensive, but you're paying for quality so it's up to you:)

That's just for the car alone. You are required to obtain a Certificate of Entitlement (COE) which is at least an additional ~$100k (price fluctuates due to bidding) for 10 years of rights to own the car 😀
after that you gonna have to bid again and win, or say gg to your vehicle

The water in most of Asia is soft water. Hair is softer, smoother, shiner and less likely to shed so you have each hair strand for a longer cycle. Skin is less dry and retains moisture. 😍 NA tends to use hard water so all the minerals in our water get deposited back into our hair and skin leaving it much drier to the touch. You can always buy filters to fix this problem. 😄 Either a filter for the water tank system in a house or individial filters for each shower. It's why I love going to Asia. The humidity in the air is so nice too and I love being able to walk around.
