I have to keep reminding myself I had to play a few campaigns before I understood much of the game. It must be hard to play a game like this and keep it fun for videos.

Jon, you really should start running more than one army at a time, instead of just one mega-army. That way you could devote one to sieging, and the other to chasing down the enemy, or stamping out the other little conflicts that pop up.

Damn, he's no Connor in terms of number of children and no Perun or Aphrodite in terms of conquest, but Odd is easily one of the best rulers Jon has ever had - expanding the empire while breaking Catholicism's back was damned impressive.

If you find someone who has a claim on a kingdom and invite them to court either by kidnapping them or getting a weak or strong hook on them you can push their claim without giving them land and the entire kingdom will automatically enter your empire
Popular uprisings are so easy to deal with that they're not even relevant. Simply double click on the uprising leader, rise your troops two provinces away (as not to get overwhelmed until they're up to the strength) and go for a battle against the army the leader is commander of. Chances are you will capture him right away, thus ending the whole uprising. If you fail, he will teleport to another army. Wait a day, double click again to find where he is, rise your troops, rinse and repeat.
Part 8: Jon - we need to make this guy fall in love with me so I can claim Norway Part 32: Jon - we need to abduct this kid, convert them to our way of life, assassinate their ruling parent, make sure the kid has become ruler, all to take over one of the biggest empires in the world

He's literally sitting on land with no building slots and level 1 farmers, passing up Rome with all level 6 buildings. How can someone think this is a good idea? It's astounding.

I don't know anything about this game's systems and how it rolls it's dice but I prefer to think that Jon killing the Pope is what caused the peasant revolts in his kingdom rather than the war taxes. It very well might have been the tax that caused it, I just think it's a cool rp that Odd being discovered as a murder of the Pope sparked a massive rebellion across the continent. Jon could write some really interesting TV series with his playthrough of this game 😂😂😂 Cheers Jon! PS: I missed 500k but wanted to say congratulations!

Building up the army at the end of your ruler's life may not be a good idea as while your current ruler can pay for them the heir may not be able too with their combination of stats and perks.
Invade Kingdom Catholic Romagna but siege down all the non-De Jure territory. You'll get the De Jure territory + anything you occupy at the end of the war.
Hmm, I could keep the south of Scotland, or Rome which has a building that only counts if I directly control it... I guess my useless cousin can have Rome. I would tell you exactly what I think about that decision, but children might stumble in here and I'd feel bad about traumatizing them a second time so soon after what you just did in front of them.

You gotta love how Jon really gets into the roleplaying aspects and plays the game differently depending on what his ruler's strengths are.
