@@Traveler13 They evolved to prune shrubs on moorland so that there'll be new shoots for them to eat next year. Trouble is this lot have been bred by the shooters and then dumped when they finished shooting 🙄 They now prune everyone's gardens and then 12 of them roost on our roof at night 😮

Very interesting 🙂 We planted an avenue of Lime trees a few years ago, partridges pecked the tops off and killed most of them 😮
Partridges, shame the buggers, i thought they prefered pear trees
