if you made that intro for Shogun, you should be their marketing director ! The "Titanium " is a polyester fiber. The only true titanium is in the Selkirk 007 , thats a real metal machined lattice titanium metal square in the layup of the paddle face.
Haha I appreciate it! Was fun to do something a little out of the box for their intro! Yah sounds like there was some confusion with the manufacturer thus the change in description and they've been cool with refunds for whoever wanted one but in the end material doesn't really matter if it plays well!
Watch one of the Pickleball Pursuit podcasts where Justin spills the beans on titanium faces due to his excellent sleuthing. It truly caught all the paddle makers off guard.
I'll have to find it! I remember seeing / hearing some stuff about it but didn't feel like I remembered or really knew enough to say anything definitive here. But also wanted to be sure to address it in some capacity!
Liking your reviews have you tried the Nexxus ProStar? I felt like it was similar to show gun. The one I got was light though so it seemed to be a little more maneuverable maybe and after worked in it pocketed the ball even better. I’d love for you to do a review on it because I feel like a lot of people just aren’t aware of how great it is
So my understanding after hearing from BnB on this is that it was supposed to be a titanium fiber (the new selkirk 007 uses titanium I believe so it is a thing), but that something was lost in communication with the manufacturing facility and it isn't technically titanium and is instead electroplated polyester weave.

Great review! Have you compared this to other titanium paddles?
Thanks! Not specifically, but might try to do a video along those lines if I get around to it!

I haven't tried the prostar, maybe I'll get around to it but got a pile of paddles to work through at the moment haha!
Oh, I like the animation.
Appreciate it!
I believe they did the polyester weave because people were taking titanium as literal which is pretty understandable I'd say LOL
