CRBN Trufoam Genesis Paddle Review | Paddle of the Year 2025?
In this CRBN Trufoam Genesis paddle review you'll learn everything you need to know about this excellent new pickleball paddle featuring a 100% foam core!
Save 10% With Code PickleballBlast | bit.ly/CRBNpb
While other pickleball companies were putting their focus on gen 3 power paddles CRBN was patiently waiting and perfecting a type of paddle the market has never seen. Let me introduce you to the CRBN Trufoam genesis, the first gen 4 paddle of it's kind with a 100% foam core.
This has to be one of the most eagerly anticipated paddles in the history of pickleball and I'm here to tell you everything you need to know about the power, control, spin, speed and more of the trufoam genesis. I've had this paddle for a few months and have played with all three shapes including the trufoam 1 which is the elongated paddle with a long handle, the trufoam 2 which is their standard paddle, and the trufoam 3 which is elongated with a shorter handle.
All three of these paddles offer the user a unique experience but the most unique aspect of this paddle comes from the entirely new core technology. The foam core offers pickleball players a variety of benefits including durability, a lack of break in period, and an incredibly unique feel that lets you easily shape the ball and deliver power while simultaneously taking your soft game to the next level.
I've loved playing with the CRBN trufoam genesis and can't wait for others to get hands on with this awesome pickleball paddle. Enjoy this Crbn trufoam paddle review and let me know if you have any questions!

    Thank you for your time. I think this paddle is going to be the future. Most companies are going to stop making two different thicknesses and stick to one thickness with better core. This could save millions for a company. I will definitely be checking this out and hopefully I will be able to find it in Vietnam where I live.

    How would this compare to Ronbus Ripple?

    • @ThePickleballBlast
      @ThePickleballBlast 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Well for one this is an approved paddle that you can buy haha! But in all seriousness I have played two versions of the ripple and I don't remember which ones. Ripple beats it in pop and power but the pop is much harder to control, gets you in trouble or at least it did me. Also ripple is lighter. But in the end it doesn't really matter because the ripple, to this point, is basically just a concept in it's current form and needs to be dialed back if it's ever going to be actually released

    I've had my TFG3 for a week now and I've decided to exchange it for a TFG2. Although I eventually grew to understand and like the TFG3, I can't get past the weight. It makes me feel too sluggish. After hearing the recent reviews and responses from other CRBN ambassadors, I feel the 2 is what I'm looking for. I'm a bit unsure still as it'll be my first wide body paddle but I'm excited to try it out.

      The only major thing will be the change to a standard from elongated but it's worth a try. I normally prefer hybrids but found I preferred the tf2 in this scenario too

      I’m just frustrated how far behind the times CRBN is thinking that 5.25 is enough handle length in 2025. I’d love to try a CRBN 2, but not with that stubby little handle.

    • @ThePickleballBlast
      @ThePickleballBlast 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@douglasmurdoch7247 It's definitely personal preference though, personally I hate an extended handle as it's wasted on me and I feel more comfortable with my two handed backhand with a bit of my hand on the paddle face. I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority there but still

      @@douglasmurdoch7247 I use elongated but was afraid of heavy swing weight so I got the 2. It has plenty of space, I measured and because of the tapered handle, there is 6 inches of usable handle, I don’t even think about it. Put 7 inches of .5 tungsten from the throat up the side, this paddle is insane. Spin is off the charts and will stay that way because of the dwell in the core. Power and Pop is there with the weight and very easy to control. You won’t regret it.

      @ThePickleballBlast 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      So I haven't hit that paddle but just looked it up. The closest is probably the trufoam 1. The trufoam 3 will be a similar shape but shorter handle. Trufoam 2 will be a totally different shape. If you're looking to explore I think the 2 was my favorite. If you're not looking to explore I'd probably recommend the 1 to stay more consistent. I just didn't like the 1 because I hold my paddles really high and don't utilize the 5.5 inch handle (this is the same size handle as the ballr)

      I did! My 1 and 2 were in line with specs, my 3 was like 8.4 oz so a bit over. I am fairly certain that CRBN was planning to pivot a little on the public batches based on reviewers input that they were a bit too heavy / higher swing weight so they said they were gonna try to shave off a little so I'm kinda taking them at their word there

    Man, I’m torn. I’ve been playing with the Vatic Prism Flash and am looking for my next paddle. I’ve been wishy wash between the Carbon 3X and the Vatic Saga Flash. Has anyone here compared the two? What are your thoughts?

    • @ThePickleballBlast
      @ThePickleballBlast 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I've played both but much more time with the crbn. I think the saga would share some similarities with the prism. Both of these paddles are pretty different from the prism though. Both excellent paddles but I recall the saga having a bit more of a plush dense feel. I also think there is less pop on the saga compared to the crbn. So if you're looking for the same just a little different / more power I'd go saga. If you want a change and try another excellent but different paddle than what you're coming from go with the 3x. OR the trufoam releases today in like an hour. My video will go live right around then and this new crbn paddle might be the perfect fit. The feel is a bit more dense and plush than the x series but still retains power, crazy good control and spin, and features the first 100% foam core which is a unique feel to the paddle

    • @ThePickleballBlast
      @ThePickleballBlast 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Ok this might get long for a comment haha, also know that I ultimately love both, I have codes for a discount for both, relationships with both companies, all that to say I'm not telling you one because I get a kick back or something. Also, the vapor isn't a paddle it's a shape for all the new lineups of 11six24. The vapor is the hybrid shape and I specifically was playing the vapor power paddle. It will all come down to your play style, what paddle you're coming from, etc. If I were to go to a tournament today I would probably still choose the shogun as I'm more familiar with it. With that said, the 11six24 vapor power is a great paddle, checks the boxes in all categories, and I could see it becoming my main paddle in 2025 or in the rotation at least. I don't think you would be unhappy with either decision, I think they are around the same price, I think my discount gets you more money off with the shogun but still around the same price. Also, the vapor power isn't out yet, still a few weeks away so that might need to be taken into consideration as well! Hope it helps!

      You'll be missing out on a bit of power and pop, and you'll be gaining a bit better control, the touch / feel of that "titanium" weave which I am a huge fan of, and with the vapor specifically you'd be getting a bit more surface area and reach with the shogun, a bit lighter paddle with the vapor. These are two really excellent paddles in the end. I don't think you'd be disappointed with either of them

      I think the apes feels more dense to me, probably a little softer feeling as well if memory serves me well. My apes never really broke in much so I don't know how accurately I can compare. 11six24 feels like more pop to me (again from memory), I pulled up my serve speeds, the hurache was just about even with the pulse e for me, but the vapor and pegasus both beat out the apes equivalent. the setup for this comparison is good (real life play testing)....BUT.... ya'll got to lock in more and hit each shot with some purpose vs. loosy goosey form. For people to truly see comparisons, we need to see precise execution with shots and CONSISTENCY. and comments like "extra elongated" need to get cleaned up a bit. Pretty sure thats not a thing. lol. But having real world players showing themselves hitting paddles back to back is good. Its just when you hit 3 out of 5 shots good with one paddle and 1 out of 5 shots good with another paddle and we can see mechanics coming into play, its hard to truly say one paddle could be "better" over another....

      I appreciate the feedback! The first few minutes was literally just hitting the paddle, but beyond that I feel like we tried to setup certain shots or scenarios. Maybe we need to play a game of skinny singles or something though at some point to really lock in. With that said it's also nice being able to hit them side by side but in that moment we aren't going for perfect form or great shots necessarily, more testing how they feel compared to one another, as it's pretty tough to switch paddles in hand between hits and still do so with good form.

      @ThePickleballBlast 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Oh also "extra elongated" may not be a real thing but I'm referring to the paddles that use every bit of usable length, making the paddle 17 inches long as opposed to the more standard 16.5 inches. The pulse E is a good example of this, and I think in this video I was wondering if the magnus was also that.

      Maybe Matt will chime in I think he has more time on the Olympus, I've only hit it very briefly. I remember the olympus feeling more stiff than these, maybe a little less pop but. I could be wrong there. Both great paddles though

    Hey Bobby! I’m someone who also prefers elongated paddles. I’m curious what your opinion is on the Vapor vs Hurache. I do not like standard shaped paddles but have actually never played with a hybrid paddle. Just curious which of the two paddles you prefer and why?

    • @ThePickleballBlast
      @ThePickleballBlast 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The vapor is a great paddle and I did enjoy the shape, I actually thought the vapor might hit a little harder from memory but I didn't hit them side by side, it was different days. With that said, I felt like the hurache didn't have some of the downsides of elongated shapes (still felt stable with a great sweet spot) so I'll be going hurache at least for now. Really can't go wrong though I'd probably tell anyone with this series to just go with their preferred shape, they all are great!

    Watching this video it seemed like you wanted to Like the 11SIX24 paddles no matter what. Watching some of the hits that you guys were saying you liked, they weren't good hits if you were to do it in a game. Dinks were high when doing the bit testing dinks but lower with other paddles. Too much feel vs actual results. With the camera angles I as a viewer couldn't see a lot of the full shots and only the hit off the paddle trying to infer where you actually hit it. Watching the angle of the shots it sure looked like there was more control with the Supercourt in most of the categories. (I don't own any of these paddles but was trying to see differences)

    • @ThePickleballBlast
      @ThePickleballBlast 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Eh, we weren't hitting for a game scenario and these are the first time we're hitting these so it all comes with the understanding that if we were to use these as a main paddle there would be an adjustment period like there would be with any paddle. That said we can tell the type of power, control, shape, spin, etc that the paddle offers whether or not we are perfectly executing it. And I know I mentioned some of my dinks being too high with the 11six24 and knowing I'd need to adjust there with some drilling to bring those in a bit.

    Love the video. I'm really loving everything 11Six24 is putting out. Just a piece of advice for the future, it may be wise to invest in some wider angle lenses (or just reposition the cameras so that we can see more of the court). The angles on this one wasn't ideal

      @MattsPickleball 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Curious what Bobby thinks but I’ll say, less power, less pop, DBD has a **bit** (denser???) stiffer feel but balance is similar IMO to Vapor.

    • @ThePickleballBlast
      @ThePickleballBlast 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I think the DBD has less power and pop, probably less spin too. It's been a while since I've hit my DBD but probably a little stiffer but the DBD is probably lighter and feels faster in the hands

      @ThePickleballBlast 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for watching! I'd have to check exact numbers but I would say a little more power than the pulse, more pop and more spin. The pulse (especially the v) was super stable so it might win there but I don't know the twist weights off the top of my head. Both are great paddles honestly

      @@ThePickleballBlast which one of the new one is similar to Monarch all court and jellybean? is it exactly the same paddle or anything changed beside the name? I mean same tech on old and new paddle

    • @ThePickleballBlast
      @ThePickleballBlast 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Not sure I understand the question, I believe they are moving to three new shapes of their paddles (hurache, vapor, and pegasus) and then the power series, all court series, and control. I think control is the jellybean. Tech wise I believe these are gen 1.5 but I have spent very little time with other 11six24 paddles, though I believe they were gen 2 thermoformed. Don't quote me on any of this I don't have any of these paddles in hand yet, should be coming soon along with the extra details they usually tell reviewers, but these were matt's paddles we hit with!

    So I have a monarch all court paddle . I had a question . I’ve heard the monarch all court is going to be discontinued and there’s no idea if the new all court paddle will be the same as this one which I doubt because then why discontinue it . I like the paddle but there’s no point to getting good with this paddle if they won’t make any more of them ? Are they allowing people to return the paddle if this is the case ? When buying the paddle it was never stated they were going to discontinue it . I would have never bought one .

    • @ThePickleballBlast
      @ThePickleballBlast 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hmmm I don't know the difference between the old all court and the new ones, I'm sure there is some difference but it's usually fairly minor improvements (I could be wrong there). I don't really think it being discontinued is a big deal though to be honest. If it's still under warranty and has issues I'm sure they'll take care of you. And if you play until it's dead and time for a new paddle it's always good to shop around and try some new stuff anyways. Plenty of companies sunset an older model and improve on it, so unless you're doing heavy tournament play like pro level where you want to show up with 10 copies of the same paddle I don't think it'll be a huge problem
