@@8milesfromhome yup! The government on that island must set strict parameters to avoid what is unavoidable in the future. Over crowdedness, garbage, and pollution.
Magic will never wear off. I read that there are 600k American's living in the Philippines. I wonder what is exact number of total foreigner calling Philippines home.
Ive been watching your journey since you moved to Thailand 12 years ago. My favourite episode being 8MFH EP7. You guys should open an eco resort and share your passions with visiting guests.
Where you live looks like absolute paradise, and your view from your bedroom literally looks like a poster!! (I know this from your Emma bed video) I cannot wait to visit Siargo
Almost every coast of the country boast of paradise - from the scenic wonders of the north (Pagudpud, Batanes islands, everywhere there), down to mesmerizing Mindanao (islands surrounding the main island)! Actually if one prefers the quiet life, sans the bars, just the sari sari stores, pick a place, anyplace, even barely away, from crowded tourists spots and you will still experience island vibe paradise...
No worries, people are warned not to go to Mindanao by various foreign government agencies especially USA, which is good in the long run, so it won't be deluged with tourists like in Bali or Phuket, etc, like they are the arbiters of who gets to travel where and who gets the tourist business and then peace and tranquility is forever gone from these places. Only the wise can decide for themselves where to go and not be totally duped by self-interest groups or government.
Siargao has become the tourist mecca for foreigners from all over the world. It seems that 80% foreigners visit this magical vibe and I kinda worry that it’s reaching the peak of the next Bali
To achieve tourist arrivals like Bali & Phuket (for better or worse) is not an easy task tho, it's 53 K only for siargao last year, still under 1% of what Bali & Phuket achieved. But siargao need to choose, whether it's going mainstream (mass tourism) or low key (special interest tourism) like what Mentawai islands consistently doing all these years with surfing tax (it's USD142 per-15 days surfing as we speak). Sorry to say this, but from what i seen Siargao is exactly doing mass tourism, just not successful yet to achieve the mass tourism output. Surfing tax is the solution, but be warned tho, Mentawai islands is multiple times better than Siargao as surf destination with multiple times number of surfspots, waves like Hollow trees, Bankvaults, No Kandui, Greenbush etc of Mentawai is on different calibre compared to cloud 9, so yeah no easy choice. Number of vlogs about siargao is off the charts relative to "merely" 53K figure of foreign tourist arrivals that siargao get, it wouldn't help you to keep the place low key.
it’s lost it already ever since more foreigners came in. The Philippines has a ton of hidden gems it can call Tropical Paradise islands. It stays that way coz not much outsiders come in to drive up the cost of living and pollute the surroundings
You should, not even Bali or Pattaya dare to turn a public bridge into some sort of streetfood market/tourist destination (talking about crowded bystanders catangnan bridge), and it's for what? some 53K foreign tourists? Could you imagine what siargao would be doing for millions of foreign tourists?
Even the toughest storm didn't ruin Siargao's beauty...🌴⛅🌿🌊
magic or no magic, it still will always be paradise, its personal. tks guys for loving our place.❤
Forever magical ✨️
😂😂😂
Tell me again after 10 years 😂😂😂
Let’s hope it reaches a perfect equilibrium and stays there at that point ☺️

I just went to Siargao recently and I always wondered if I'd meet Story somewhere. Siargao is a beautiful place, I wanna go back again!
Truly beautiful comparable to Bali, The Maldives and French Polynesia.

Wait hold on to your butts, but have you traveled around Dinagat Island???
We all should be wary of siargao turning into another bali or pattaya. Let’s not entice tourists to come to siargao.
