No lo había pensado así, quizás tengas. Mi adolescencia y juventud la viví en los 80's y considero que fue una época hermosa, de lo mejor de mi vida. Había valores morales, la gente era más autentica y de buena fe, en general. Todo era prometedor, con mucho optimismo y esperanza de que el mundo estaría mejor. Tecnologicamente efectivamente estamos mucho mejor pero hay más injusticias y desigualdad, ahora hay mucho odio en todas partes, el ser humano se ha materializado demasiado.
Amo los 80's, sobre todo su música. OMD representa la mejor y más fina música moderna y su calidad hace que aún este vigente.

Saw them headline for Depeche Mode in '88 in an arena and felt that they were the stars of that show. Top notch, great show. Now they're performing in a bike shop and although I still love them, this made me sad...

"Mellow Johnny's" is a bike store owned by Lance Armstrong. The name is a tongue-in-cheek version of the way Texans pronounce the french words "Maillot Jaune" (Yellow Jersey)!

Good song! Definitely a hit in the US. However, their best album is "Architecture & Morality." They nailed it on that one! They have acknowledged that as well. It is really different than their other stuff. It is my top 10 albums, even though I lean towards folk and acoustic music. It was very popular in Europe when I was working in Germany from '81-'82. I recommend their DVD, whereby they performed live, the entire 3rd album, with the exception of the title cut.
