This song was a stroke of musical genius folks bar none! Made me a life long fan for sure! Glad to see Paul and Andy still making music after all these years!
I'm sad that I was born in '85. I should have been born in 67. 80s had the hands down best style, different genres of music, artists that were great but different from each other, excellent clubs, hangouts, and from what I understand it was a great time to have relationships and form bonds with actual people and talking. I would kill to go back and be born in 67.
@@rabit818it more than just capturing the concerts and artists. It was the aura, the times, people had common sense and a basic sense of decency and respect except hoodlums and criminals which were few. House parties had live bands or DJs and high school parties people were wearing their best Madonna or whitney or Kelly bundy outfits and guys wore their soft cell, Michael jackson, George Michael, duran duran getup. College people wore more conservative blazers and cardigans with slacks and still partied at frat houses. No one was killing, brutalizing people (as much anyways), people danced. You could live on a factory salary at least have an apartment. The world was a much more compared to today helpful and respectful place. No twerking, women wore clothes, except for the truly rebellious, girls actually needed and wanted boyfriends and husbands and families. You could buy a car working 2 years out of high school if you saved. Cars were 7-13 k back then. You would hit the library with friends or the movies or the malls and arcades. The times were just purer in the best sense. Now you wake up. You have no clue who your neighbors are. No one talks. Everyone is on their phones, people don't go out because technology can give you whatever you need in 15minutes or less. Everyone is selfish and impatient and less respectful and ready to litigate or fight over words or the smallest mistake. No one knows what a woman or man is. The only thing better today than the 80s is better Medicine and surgical treatments. That's literally it. Everything else sucks.

It is just timeless for some reason I keep playing this song over and over along with Melt With You and I think Were Alone Now and Love My Way. Yes I know they arent all by OMD but OMG these songs are Epic! I wonder what the 2080s will be like?
Song was written well before the invention of an Apple Mac. These guys have always been at the forefront of technical innovation in music - get a life, enjoy the song for what it is...

It was good to be young in the eighties.
there was no cell phones, and you did sports, clubs and visited friends after school . And there was very few fat kids.

That intro stops me in my track
Its very karaoke .

Great performance! But sadly that Apple Mac Book laptop is REALLY making most of the music. These guys are just playing along.

Ouch 😢 took me right back to my breakup with my fiancé in ‘87 🫤
