    It was very convincing to see on the scope the lure doing exactly as Ron described, open bail vertical fall and all. There could even be some use for that open bail decent in bank fishing.

      Yes. We tried to get more forward facing sonar footage but the wind was blowing the boat around making it hard to keep the spoon in the cone.

    Great video as usual. Almost missed this one until you mentioned it in the Monday night livestream. Old Ron was keeping you busy! Liked the views on the electronics but you don't get to fish! Also, at 16:14, part of the "allure" of flutter spoons. Nothing like a good fishing pun!

    Good video Gabe, I have a whole box of spoons and blades for this time of year. You can use your line size to adjust your drop speed, which can make a big difference some day. Also if fishing deep, a braid to floro leader might be the ticket that day.

    • @JohnK-dv7pb
      @JohnK-dv7pb 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's one if the cool things about his retrieve...jerking up with braiding the wind gets it wrapped around the tip but the reeling is going to stop that.

    Fantastic video, thanks for sharing. Do you ever use a hair jig instead of the spoon in winter? What's a good spoon and weights? It looks like I'll be losing a lot of them. If you do switch off with a hair jig...one you prefer. This is going to be so cool, I hate that drop shot.

    • @ronaldd932
      @ronaldd932 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lake Fork makes a decent spoon, something 3.75 to 4 inches and 3/4 Oz is my go to. You can also order spoon blanks from several outlets. I am currently trying to learn the hair jig
