I agree that having friends to play with and grow with makes the game fun. I personally enjoy it more than random online matches. People are soo toxic and message me bs all the time lol.

You gotta understand that you play a string heavy character half of peaple can't lab and the majority of the others won't lab. That said, you should also understand that playing against Anna without knowing her frames is a hell.
I've never received a single salty message while playing Steve or Feng (and you know how gimmicky Feng can get) because I alwais try to play solid.
@@giuseppegarrubba57 i own one dlc character. I cant lab the others, so i dont message people for beating me. I just keep playing or find a person who mains them and ask for sessions. Ive even offered salty players to run sessions with me to help them but they refuse. This game is hella toxic no matter what a person does. Thats why i prefer having friends to play with over casual online games or ranked.

I play only quick considered that S2 ranks are quite a joke.
Maybe ranked/quick makes the big difference

Tekken players are so much more fluid and friendly in interviews than other fgs!

I don't want to question her knowledge about the game since she probably knows better than me anyways but Xiaoyu is certainly not the only strong female character in the game: Julia, Asuka and Alisa for an example are also considered to be very solid. And there are enough people that proof that you can still keep up with these characters in tournaments..
She didnt say those characters are weak. They are just weaker than Xiao in her opinion so she's sticking with het.

@@candasturan4559 imo, she can only play xiaoyu at competition level, but she probably doesn't want to say she can only play xiaoyu, so she probably listed the other female characters she plays casual and said xiaoyu is higher tier. i mean, only Chanel brings alisa and julia to master tournaments and do well. i do wonder if xiaoyu can enter the top 8 more if Chanel used her. they say she's top tier, but we don't get to see her in top 8.

Xiaoyu looked more chinese in Tekken 3. After some time she looked more japanese in Tekken games. Xiaoyu looks way better than Tanukana!
I play Xiaoyu and I'm a guy😄😄😄 hurts that she had major nerfs😐😐😐
With all those nerfs on xiaoyu, still she thinks other female characters she chosen were too weak, i can only imagine how strong xiaoyu was in s1.

i agree with her tho, to be frank xiaoyu is the strongest female char by far, Julia 2nd and asuka 3rd.
Lili, Anna and Nina are definitely weaker. Alisa is debatable.
@@mazin9193 i dont know, alisa is risky, while ling can just ignore the frames. also ling has a lot of safe mix ups and options, whereas alisa kinda gets predictable and is also punishable.
Nina is very strong tho. Of course she has some glaring weaknesses, but she is still a very strong and usable character, and yeah, execution isn't that big of a problem because her execution isn't nearly as hard as people make it out to be.

i dont know why but xiaoyu has a high appeal for females, i have only seen few female players, and almost all of them plays her.
She looks like the most likeable female. The next would probably be Asuka but she acts like a tsundere with no actual love interest
@@TuldokaTrue, she has that main female protagonist vibe with her, although i think namco is pushing for that, along with jin being the main male protagonist.

@@queencard97 Well its along the same vein, likability is important for a protagonist. Though Jin hasnt been cool nor likable since Tekken 4. Katarina, Nina, and Anna are more geared to a male audience. Lucky Chloe/Panda are for people who like to troll (I wish she had a skater chick shctick instead), Kazumi is cool but so simplistic that no casual would stick with her. Alisa would be the closest thing to a likable "female" but it screams sex robot with all the jiggling. In short, Xiaoyu has the most appealing persona for a girl looking to try the game
Maybe they find it playing as xiaoyu has more success rate.

You dont pick a character just because how successful the char can be but you pick te character because you liked him/her. i mean if its based on your understanding, nobody would play the bears, gigas, lars, anna because there unsuccessful gameplay outcomes, but obviously a lot players liked them. so it has something to do with the appeal of the character.

No, she's saying she's sticking with Xiaoyu because of her tier. She could still have initially chosen to play her because she just likes the character.
she liked the character even way back when xiao was low tier in t6 and ttt2.
@@queencard97 well she never admitted or said she liked xiaoyu when they asked her here, and in fact she literally answered that she was thinking of switching. it's possible her love has died but she uses her cause it's the only character she can use at tournament level. i wished she said she liked xiaoyu, but she didn't say it...
@@Viewer13128 she never said either that her love for the character has died down, she just wants to use other characters but that doesnt mean her main will be replaced, she admitted in so many in interviews that she like the character so much, she tried many female chars before xiao, but she fell in love with ling in the end. personally i love xiaoyu and steve as my main, but i also wanna try other characters but that doesnt mean i dont like the other two either.
