You gotta understand that you play a string heavy character half of peaple can't lab and the majority of the others won't lab. That said, you should also understand that playing against Anna without knowing her frames is a hell. I've never received a single salty message while playing Steve or Feng (and you know how gimmicky Feng can get) because I alwais try to play solid.

Ive even offered salty players to run sessions with me to help them but they refuse. This game is hella toxic no matter what a person does. Thats why i prefer having friends to play with over casual online games or ranked.

I don't want to question her knowledge about the game since she probably knows better than me anyways but Xiaoyu is certainly not the only strong female character in the game: Julia, Asuka and Alisa for an example are also considered to be very solid. And there are enough people that proof that you can still keep up with these characters in tournaments..

@@mazin9193 i dont know, alisa is risky, while ling can just ignore the frames. also ling has a lot of safe mix ups and options, whereas alisa kinda gets predictable and is also punishable.
Nina is very strong tho. Of course she has some glaring weaknesses, but she is still a very strong and usable character, and yeah, execution isn't that big of a problem because her execution isn't nearly as hard as people make it out to be.

Lucky Chloe/Panda are for people who like to troll (I wish she had a skater chick shctick instead), Kazumi is cool but so simplistic that no casual would stick with her. Alisa would be the closest thing to a likable "female" but it screams sex robot with all the jiggling. In short, Xiaoyu has the most appealing persona for a girl looking to try the game

i dont know why but xiaoyu has a high appeal for females, i have only seen few female players, and almost all of them plays her.
She looks like the most likeable female. The next would probably be Asuka but she acts like a tsundere with no actual love interest
