There are lots of things to do as day trips. Go to Leland! The Historic Fishtown is pretty cool. Good places to eat in town. Northport is a nice, little town as well. I was there in 2022. The shoreline was full of dead fish (alewives), and my campsite was overrun by midge flies. Still, I really enjoyed the park. You have to deal with these things sometimes.
Yes, lots to check out in that part of northern Michigan. And you're right about bugs and such. It's all part of the experience that adds to stories later on. 😀 Thanks for watching and commenting!
North and South Fox Islands. the Manitou's (North and South) are south-west and unable to be seen from there. Maybe able to see Beaver Island to the direct north.
New to your channel, love it by the way ! Glad I found it, this video is great My wife and I are going there next month for 4 days. Took us two summers of trying to reserve one of the sites on the water. Felt like we won the lottery lol. Oh by the way van people are awesome 😎
That's awesome, thanks for letting us know! And yes, sometimes snagging just the right campsite at the right campground does feel like winning the lottery. Have fun on your trip!
Ari and Jesse oh my goodness I can’t thank you enough for your video on this park ! Our trip here was one of our best period, rock hunting the surrounding beaches, the lighthouse the peace and quiet was incredible in the park. We even had our 4yr old granddaughter with us and she got so upset she cried when I told her we had to go back home lol. Heading to Algonac tomorrow for a long weekend as well. Thx again for the suggestions through your videos! You two are the best …….. Jim
