- Foreign was feeding a black stray cat that belonged to a cat colony near her house at some point the cat disappeared but a couple of months later she came

My stomach got tied up in anxious knots when, for four days, I didn’t see the doe that lives near by me. Then, she returned with the two most beautiful fawns ever! What a relief and joy to see them, which I do most days at dawn and dusk as they come to drink from the creek I live adjacent to. I should have known she was pregnant, I had thought she was looking very “well-fed”, and there was a frisky “bachelor herd” of stags hanging around here in the winter. I wonder if this was the same group of stags that nearly mowed me down, accidentally of course, as I was out on a walk. Something spooked them and they stampeded around a corner right down the sidewalk straight at me. It was the middle of the day, it’s so unusual to see them around then, especially on a street. I couldn’t step in front of the street traffic and neither could they. So I stepped behind a telephone pole, it happened so fast, within a second or two at most, and there was nothing else to protect me. When they split around me and the pole, still charging at full speed, I realized how big they really are and that those horns and hooves could really hurt! They all had magnificent racks of horns and were so beautiful, but I got a much closer view than I ever expected! There were seven, I counted as they ran on, and they didn’t touch me, but it was so very close! I love living where I get to see wildlife and this has been a great spring for that, I’ve seen several birds that I’ve never seen before in the 35 years I have lived here. Maybe it’s because the 20+ year drought we had finally ended after two wet years. God, I love animals!
Midnight only had 5 kittens, that gorgeous fluffy tabby just tagged along. 😂
The cat truly trusted the lady..
I was feeding a stray for about a year and never got close to me. It eats and leaves..the routine.
And now not dropping by.. hope it was adopted . Have 2 bags of cat food left. ..
All black long hair are rare cats.
I wish they would have come to to my door.
That combination of kitten colouring is exactly the same as where my two cats, one black one tabby, came from.
