Has Aquarium Co-Op ever made a video on Importing Aquarium fish/ shrimp in to the USA? im considering spending thousands on rare caridina from the breeder of strain origin however not being familiar with the import process is preventing me from moving forward.. curious if you have already made a video or can make one.. im thinking ill review the views of Cory and Dean going to South America and if the speak of import process there..
Once my white clouds were grown and part of a healthy school I was glad I had a 55 for them. They are live in streams in their native environment, and loved swimming against the water flow ad racing through the tank. Not sure I would be comfortable keeping them in a short little tank knowing all that
I keep a group of around a dozen in a medium planted 15 gallon and they do great. I do have a tiny sponge filter/power head combo in the tank and they for sure like swimming in the current. You may be able to get away with 6-10 in a five gallon but I would probably go with a 10 gallon. But it could probably work if you have the 5gallon tank setup properly
So any tips to breed pea puffers? I got 3 females and 1 male and had them for about almost 2 years they r fully adult the tank is a 10 gallon with plants but it's not fully a forest. Any tips on how to encourage breeding? Thx (:

Scarlet badis is my no. 1. They are very fun little fishes I have 4(1male 3females) in my 20 gallon with other community fish. He used to be pretty shy to the point I decided to give him to a nano tank owner but in 2months he put on a bit more size, coloured up and became very outgoing. So I decided to get him 3 females and now all he does is eat and guard his harem from every other fish😂. He usually stays with his family in the giant Java fern I have in the back of my tank
@@sarahdumais5998 Oh they are native where I live. U should try looking in aquarium groups or local groups I've seen a lot of people from both USA and UK having the females
@@SquirrilahFish They love eating live food. I usually drop their food on the giant Java fern where they usually are, so they'll be able to locate. I absolutely how much information you put into your videos! Thank you so very much for all you do! Have an amazing 2023 and I look forward to lots more of your videos
Great ideas!! I have 4 Pea Puffers in a heavily planted tank and so far it's worked great, fingers crossed. I also have another 10 gallon with 7 CPD's, a Honey Gourami and Clown Pleco.
I have a school of 15 pea puffers in a 29 gallon all living peacefully. If you get a group of 6+ the aggression is spread and they develop a pecking order and live pretty peacefully together a few weeks after developing the pecking order.
I've gotten lucky and gotten plenty of female scarlet badis! I've successfully bred them. Its really easy and they do an embrace VERY similar to betta fish
Im setting up a 20g long planted tank. Ive narrowed the fish down to either green kubotai's or threadfin rainbows. Which do you think would do bestvin a 20g long?
My wcmm are now about 3 inches long and I have just given about 50-60 fry to my local fish store. Now the temperature has dropped they are not so ready to breed!
I love your videos and I’ve learned a lot, especially since I’m new to this hobby. I have a 4-5 inch western painted turtle in a 75 gallon tank and would love to add some fish. What tank mates would you recommend that would have a decent chance of not being eaten?
And 7 US dollars in America. Definitely going to give those a miss. I think it's funny or silly that we desire things that are from other countries so much. We have lots of stunning fish here. Hey not having a go at you at all mate.
they are a shoaling fish actually, its my one gripe with the co-ops vids, look up any video of peas in the wild and you'll see em shoaling in groups of at least 20 or more, they r a prey fish in their ecosystem and thus find refuge in numbers and exhibit social behaviours.
They are a sort of schooling fish unfortunately :( The right word would be shoaling, but they need to be in groups of 3-4+ with an aquarium 10 gallons or more. This information is fairly new so not everyone knows about it
my pea puffer won't eat anything but snails and it's so hard for me to find some near me, even by searching on kijiji marketplace etc. Except pet store selling like 1 ramshorn for 5 bucks which is completely insane. I don't know how to make her love frozen bloodworms or other stuff, don't want it at all and I have her for months now. Tried oyster, mussels, canned snails, frozen bloodworm, frozen black worm, bugs that I catch for my betta, flakes, pellets, frozen brine shrimp.. don't know what to try anymore
Get a bin, fill it with dechlorinated water and put some pest snails in. Don't feed those snails though, let them reproduce and in a couple of weeks you'll have lots! Just make sure to feed boiled veggies like spinach
Great video Zenzo what a awesome fish den you have! the thumbnail is cool because I use a magnifying glass all the time for my tanks, I have fish tank videos on my page if anyone is interested.
I have an 8 gallon bowl but it’s on a dresser with a giant trifold mirror on it. I was going to do just shrimp, but does anyone have a suggestion of a tiny fish that maybe can’t see very well, or wouldn’t mind seeing warped illusions of itself everywhere? I am fine with just shrimp.
Pea puffers $15 😂 you guys in the US are so lucky in Australia they’re about $80 each 50 if you’re lucky about a year ago they used to be $200 each. We can’t get them imported.
All great suggestions, But no one carries any of these fish. I called 3 big aquarium stores and no one even carried 1 of these. Such a disappointment seeing these lovely fish that you can't get.

So glad to see at least one killifish on the list! They are awesome fish!
Great information! I love seeing other members of the ACO team in videos.

This is my list:
Pygmy corydoras, endlers, normans lampeye killifish, celestial pearl danios and dwarf medakas.
Omg. I never knew about dwarf ricefish. I am in love. ♥️ Thanks!
Perfect timing! I’m looking to start a nice planted nano tank.
I just got some Scarlet Badis & I have to say it is awesome watching them hunt
My chili rasboras are my favorite fish….. shhhhhh don’t tell my other fish 😂
my favorite are honey gourami and endlers and of course betta fish
Elassoma gilberti is a wonderful nano fish with beautiful colors. The dwarf sunfish males are black with electric blue.

Pygmy corydoras, endlers, normans lampeye killifish, celestial pearl danios and Betta marginata

if only pea puffers were that cheap here in australia. here they are closer to $150!
Pea puffer pick at other fished fins though so idk if they are good to stay with other fish

There's a repeated section about the white clouds water parameters.
Male Endlers, Medaka (ricefish), WCMM's (are awesome), Ottos, and Chilli Rasbora.
I'd love Pea Puffers but here in Australia they're $200AUD+ each!
Can I keep white clouds with betta?. In my 10g . My betta is not aggressive
