Hello Mr Robert, Blue is my favorite color, when i see the beauty an Antartica, there's nothing to say except that it's wonderful ans it's an extraordinary and magnificent view, i love it 😉
Hi , fabulous and thank you for this video, we are thinking of doing that one next year, would you recommend it ? Any advice would be really appreciated..
Joe’s Gentoos was the tour. It was amazing!! Definitely one of the highlights of the trip! You can book it through the ship or online. Have a wonderful cruise!
hello. thanks for sharing.:) may i ask when you actually took the cruise? am booked on this same itinerary on celebrity for January 2024. i just wanted to find out how cold it gets and what clothes to pack for the different stops. your inputs much appreciated!:)
I went in February 2023. It was cold, but not as cold as I had expected. It was actually colder in Ushuaia than Antarctica. If you just pack a big coat, some long johns, a beanie, and gloves, you should be fine.
I just walked around the Seafront Promenade also known as "La Rambla" There are a number of penguin tours you can take, but I passed since I had already done that in the Falklands.
Hi Robert, I m thinking about doing a scenic cruising to Anartica. I know it's much cheaper compare to an expedition cruise. Question ...is it still worth to go on the one you did or save up a lot of money and go on an expedition?
This one had multiple stops outside of Antarctica including the Falkland Islands which made it very nice. However, I still would like to do an Expedition Cruise, just to get closer to the icebergs and of course, walk around on shore. It just depends on how much you really want to see and spend.
Take a look at their website for the latest prices and keep in mind that solo travel is going to cost more because they will charge a double occupancy rate.
Great video! Thanks for sharing. I'm definitely going to take this cruise!
Great video. we are going with Celebrity in a few weeks, same itinerary as your cruise. Thanks for your video so we can get an overview...

I certainly would. It's a great way to see Antarctica without paying the high cost of an expedition ship.

Thank yo so much for posting. Can you tell me what excursion you were on in Falkland Islands?
Hi Carol, it was "Joe's Gentoos" and I highly recommend it.
Did you find it was so many sea days vs ports that you didn’t enjoy as much ?

Yes, will be very nice to do an expedition, but very expensive, so we will have to settle for scenic cruise🙁. Can't afford to go back either.
Thanks!
Cruise
Thanks Rob, so you don’t actually “put a step” on Antarctica? Not even some boat tours available for an extra $$$ on those cruises?
Unfortunately not. This is a "scenic cruising" only of Antarctica, but it does make stops in South America and the Falkland Islands.
Hi mr Robert i'm planning to take this cruise as a solo traveller on Celebrity too can you give me an idea how much does it cost to do this trip ?
Take a look at their website for the latest prices and keep in mind that solo travel is going to cost more because they will charge a double occupancy rate.
Did you see much wildlife while in the Antartic region?.
Lots of penguins swimming and a few on the ice. Also saw a couple of whales.
