I had the Steelseries Apex Pro TKL 2023 and own a custom Wooting 60he and hands down the wooting is better in every single way. Returned the Apex pro tkl. The software on the wooting is better, its fully customizable and sounds and feels better overall and instead of the F keys I can just press fn.
True, the wooting is also so much simpler to take apart and customise plus both are expensive so it is a good idea to just get the better one.
The wooting 60he is hands down the best preforming gaming keyboard on the market, however the only thing the wooting doesnt shine in as wait time and price. If you want something similar but cheaper and quicker to recieve get the apex pro mini. also in the start of the video you stated how the tkl size is a pro for some. if so just get the wooting 2he
I ordered a Wooting and got it in 6 days lol. Wait time is not a factor anymore

I don't even know where to start.
First off, it sounds like you watched a different review and asked chat gpt to change the words.
"Such as to clip for their softwares, you know, eccetera."
Nobody talks like that.
Additionally, Wooting has some of the best customer service I have ever experienced in general. They have an entire discord server dedicated to it (on top of great CS on the website) which has provided some of the most thorough customer service I've ever experienced.
When you talked about the Wooting Two HE you said it isn't even out yet. It has been out for years. If you did any research at all besides looking at what is posted in the hover/drop-down menu, you would know.
You made it evident that your main selling point is that the wooting is never in stock, which is one of the most dogshit takes in any review I have ever heard. Just because you cannot order the wooting using mom's amazon prime account, does not dictate anything quality wise, and to include that as a talking point is one of the dumbest arguments I've ever heard.
I also find it funny that at 3:18 it literally contains the warrantee you claim only steel series offer. I find this funny because Wooting offers a replacement plan where in SOME cases, if you bought a KB in an earlier batch, if it is recent enough, you can upgrade to a newer model for the sole purpose of it being newer. (I think this only applies to the module, I haven't bothered to look it up)
All in all, I feel like this review could use a lot of work, and it really felt like watching a last minute high school presentation as opposed to a well thought out "review"
I do think you have potential as a reviewer, but I think there are a lot of kinks to work out.
For example: ACTUALLY BUY THE KEYBOARD YOU ARE REVIEWING
This was a hard watch and arguably made the Wooting more attractive to anyone watching this.

Theres a lot of information you got incorrect in the video (i.e: Wooting uses Hall Effect Analog switches, whereas Steelseries Pro TKL uses Optical Mechanical Switches), and it kind of seems like you are just ranting about Wooting. But I still agree that 95% of gamers wouldn’t benefit from spending the extra money or waiting for a Wooting, and for them Steelseries Apex Pro TKL is still an amazing keyboard.
FR, i had a steel sereis too before, and i got my wooting here last week, and i have never used money that good on a product, defintly worth, dont get me wrong, i liked the steelseries pro, but wooting feels alot better for me
Thank you for helping me make my channel better! The wooting uses Hall effect analog switches, yes. I mentioned it incorrectly when i spoke it, however i corrected myself when i briefly put on screen the 2 types of switches each has (wooting, gateron Lekker, and Steelseries, omnipoint switches.

don't buy steelseries apex pro mini or tkl the rappid trigger are unusable cus the keyboard freak out and spam random key or one key register multiple time or the software use like 30% of my CPU i returned it got another one he done the job 2 month and start spamming random key again, steelseries have done nothing to fix that issue and it been 5 month that the rappid trigger of steelseries have been release and i still see people complain about this same issue on their discord the only way to fix it is to disable rapid trigger and set actuation point to 1.8mm that what you get for 200$ a half finished keyboard.
im still waiting for my wooting to come and i don't see any bad review on it.

got my Wooting 60HE in exactly 11 days overseas and this keyboard IS A FCKN GAMECHANGER. Id pay even more money now that Ive seen in person the 101% capabilities this thing is the ferrari of keyboards, carbon edition. And dont underestimate that badass simple Wootility web app with 0% bloatware and savin literally EVERYTHIN on the keyboard. Ive customised the fck out of everythin. After my rtx 4090 easilly the best buy ive ever done.
do NOT buy the apex pro, after 6 weeks mine has constantly started to spam buttons, along with looking around on the internet, i see NUMEROUS other people all with the EXACT same problems anywhere from 6 weeks to 3 months after buying the keyboard, this is due to an issue with the firmware of the keyboard, which will start to mess with it, it can be temporarily fixed by factory resetting the keyboard and putting the actuation point to 4.0 (the max) however that literally ruins the whole point of buying the keyboard over the wooting, just please... get the wooting, the wait time is worth it.
(yes the issue will likely be solved in the future, but it's existed for months already with no fix in sight so i wouldn't rely on it)

Hi Will! I'd like to clarify a few things within your video (just as a nerd in the community). First off, both brands actually use the same technology, and Steelseries was actually the first big brand to use Hall Effect (hereafter referred to as HE) technology, and the switches they use are actually also Gateron. Gateron also makes the Wooting Lekker switches, and both switches are from the same generation, with the biggest difference being that the Wooting has hotswappable switches and can be swapped out for generation 2 ks-20 switches like the Gateron Jades and Geon Raptors, while the Apex Pro have soldered in switches (and so can't be changed).
And while you made very valid points about the layouts and form factor (I'm personally someone who prefers a smaller overall footprint on my table since even though I do use the F-row, I don't use it often enough to justify having it there permanently) there are a lot of other form factors that make it much easier, like 65% (without the f-row) and 75% (with the f-row) for example. The main reason why people would buy either the 60HE or the Apex Pro TKL isn't actually because of analog, but rather because of the other feature set, namely, Rapid Trigger and Adjustable Actuation, since those are supported in every game.
Additionally, there are a bunch of cheaper boards that perform better, with much less latency and with a more accurate rapid trigger. Analog control is something that wooting would win here, over other brands, and even for larger layouts, Wooting has (now) the 80HE which would be the perfect compromise between form and function (albeit at a premium price). Analog control aside (since it requires games to specifically include the wooting SDK to support genuine analog control) other companies like Drunkdeer, VXE/VGN make solid boards at good layouts that will feel better than both the wooting and the apex pro tkl in game.
Just some clarifications, great job on your vid nonetheless!

I would have agreed with you up until a couple of days ago. The apex pro tkl 2023 I brought in December is now broken, it presses keys without even touching it making it unusable, it seems everyone is now coming across this issue, everywhere you look, youtube, reddit etc.. £200 keyboard broken after a month.
Try contacting their support. I’m sure you can get an exchange.
I generally see lots of people acting like the wooting is some godsent product which is unreal, and for gaming performance it still beats any other keyboard currently. BUT with that in mind, i think the $180 price tag leaves alot to be desired. If you only look for gaming performance and desperately need top level peripherals it might be worth it , but with the market evolving you can get keyboards which are just way better quality for way cheaper with slightly less gaming performance (in my opinion the wooting doesnt perform so much better to demand the price tag it does). in general the quality its not great either. The plastic case, awful steel plate, and chattery switches on a near $200 keyboard is not great to say the least

Not only this, the rapid trigger of the steelseries also feels worse to use, the wooting is very easy to mod, software is also way better on wooting and you don't necessarily need to download the wooting software to access it.. Many other things
basically, the steelseries kb is not *bad*, but it is way worse than the wooting having experienced both for quite some time

@@222bpm4 first of all, everyone is subject to their own opinion. i believe that having a software only available on a domain on the internet is not sustainable. i like applications better because they generally run smoother and aren’t based on the internet solely. also, most gamers aren’t modding their keyboards, so that’s out of the question for a typical gamer. if you like to mod keyboards, you do you.
@@willpenaa 1)The software isn't *ONLY* available on internet, the choice of having it on your pc or online is yours, and that's why i think it is better, if you're someone who doesn't want to have any bloat installed on their pc you can use the internet version, and if you don't mind it you can download the software, hence why on that part it is better than the steelseries
2) For the modding argument, even out of the box, the wooting felt somewhat better to me, and other friends who tested both keyboards had a similar opinion to mine, when you add to this that the people working over at wooting encourage modding on their board, while on the steelseries board you are REALLY limited, aside from changing the keycaps anything else you might wanna try to do would be a pain in the ass
3)For the argument of the steelseries being cheaper, no, it is around 30-40$/€ more than the wooting, if you're after a cheaper keyboard that is similar/better in certain aspects at a cheaper price, you can look into keyboards from Drunkdeer, which are around 130$/€ and really good for the price
4)Not trying to discredit any work you've put into the video, though there are quite a few things ""wrong"" in it, such as saying they are both using optical switches, mentionned above by @iMakeMagicHappen, overall not a *bad* video, but could be a bit more accurate when it comes to informations given etc..
I wish you all the best in your futur uploads ofc, but maybe take a bit more time to make sure you're not wrong about most things said ((subjectives things set aside, cause well, those are subjective and there isn't one wrong or right)) Thanks for reading all the way through if you did

Reading a script isnt a good look son. There is a ton of stuff wrong in this video but others already pointed it out. Before you get further in life please for the love of god retrain yourself to use your thumb to press the space bar NOT your pointer finger, typing like this your going to have repetitive motion injuiries in your right arm,elbow,wrist.
I typed each individual key for the sound test as every other sound tester does near the end of the test 😂

dude apex pro is scam red switches on hall effect keyboard ? even razer didn't do that LUL I have used apex pro for long time scratchy keys " omnipoint " and they reset of the keyboard with cheap ass red switches , after you use this keyboard for long time you will see how cheap the martials of this keyboard , if you hate wooting that much that's okay go for polar 65 at least they don't put cheap ass switches on their " hall effect " keyboard Steelseries after I being fanboi to them like years I wasted my money on cheap ass product but I'll admit it their headset are decent other than that DON'T FREAKING BUY FOR YOUR OWN SAKE I got apex pro full size and tkl and I already sent them back after two month of use thankfully amazon accepted the return. im not hating on apex pro coz it was my main keyboard but from now on I'll not use steelseries or razer product period

steelseries apex pro is very great the double association is fantastic ....but i'm curious to try also the wooting 60he ...yesterday I decided to make the return with amazon and take the steelseries apex pro mini version because I preferred something smaller and compact and i can't wait.....also the drunkdeer and the endgame gear KB65HE are interesting
