I played with the original TMNT toy line. Now I have a son who plays with the 2012 version, and it warms my heart to see it. He's watching the new show a lot, and I'm right there with him. This current version of TMNT is the best, and that's hard for me to say since the original show was what I watched. Kudos to Nickelodeon!
I have this toy. Bought it when it came out and it's awesome! Just a note for those who have it too, if you pour water in it like me, make sure you change the water every month or so, because if you don't it will develop mold like mines did!! But after a good wash it was good as new!!!
The mutagen man from my collection includes eyes, so I'm guessing the one Dan reviewed was an early paint, and sometime soon afterward, repaints were sent out including the pupils in the eyes.
I almost hate to say this, but I think one would get the ideal effect by filling Mutagen Man's body with K-Y jelly or some similar product. It has the consistency of ooze while still being as clear as water. Plus, it has this cool effect where air bubbles get trapped in the fluid!
And another great Figure i need to own in my Collection! Well i started to Import them from the US because in Germany they will arrive officially Q3 or early Q4 :(
Playmates will never respect the scale. They didn't respect it before and the company simply doesn't care. This is happening with the classics line too. Now imagine a Krang android suit, the same size as the turtles. They made it in the vintage line. They did a deluxe figure, but didn't miss the chance to make one the same size. It looks like they enjoy doing the big guys the same size as the turtles or even smaller.

I do like the new Mutagen Man figure but I'm bummed that he's considered to be part of the bad guys as I just see him as a misunderstood goo monster. Also we need a new Karai action figure she's a bad ass

First creative action-figure in 18 years. Since they completely stopped making toys you can hold in your hand in favor of inferior unfun computer-centric entertainment.
As i wached turtles are again popular and this is something really great,i even liked the new show a litle.But in comparison with the older mutagen man the new one is not so cool,the older looks more freaky and had more painted details.But i wonder since they made most of the characters from the older series wheres beebop and rocksteady?

this one has all most none of the charm and appeal of the old one, in my opinion. also it's hard to look at with the ultra bright limbs and pupiless eyes.
The ooze should be shiny lime green and the organs should have been painted, lazy Playmates again.........................SO DISAPPOINTING EEERRRHHHHGGHHHHH!!!

If you used Tonic water on the inside and put a black light on it, it should give off a glowing effect.
Too bad we never got Pulverizer before he became Mutagen Man, Kraang Subprime (RIP Gilbert Gottfried), Kraang Prime, Shinigami, and Bishop.
I have the current mutagen man and yeah he looks cool with water inside his tank, but he drips like crazy, I.was constantly wiping up water

If you fill it with the original mutagen ooze (the bluish sparkly one) you will be able to see the guts. Great vid :)
Why not put 1 half ooze and the other half water and give it a good shake so then you can properly synthesize the look from the show

A Karai figure is being made. It is her mutated snake form, though.

Playmates said that if the mutated form is successful, they will consider making a standard version.
