No shortage of vetts there .. I ran a 69 nova ss with 396 that came out of Chevelle with rock crusher 4 speed. Boy I had a lot fun that ol nova !’ I used to run it Detroit dragway back in the 80s she was basically stock with few things done to the motor , best et I had somewhere in the 11s .. that vertagat shifter suer made it little easier to shift .. Thanks for posting this it brings back a lot good memories...
Under 300 screaming cubic inches & 50 pound flywheels....doesn't get any sweeter than that! This was the kind of stuff people liked to go to the strip to watch. Now they wonder why the stands are empty..........
How the fuck do u get a 277ci chevy to crank out steady 12,000rpm without scattering parts??? And in that time as well...we got comp eliminators runnin 10,000rpm plus, and those are a mixed bunch
Thanks so much for posting...Bristol is our home track & this Corvette was my favorite race car of Dad's (Fred White). He'll love seeing this!! Elaine WhitePerformance.com
