@ Kevin and Meghan, tire shake is too much power and a poor track. Its basically poor traction. The tracks vary throughout the day due to ambient conditions so if the car isn't tuned right, they can shake when taking off, shifting to a higher gear on a slippery track, etc. Those are the main causes, then there's machanical failures in the suspension and such but it's all poor traction.

I did walk by there and I saw they had a cool Silverado truck outside of the trailers but I don't know what they were selling. But the truck was really cool looking and was lowered and on some nice rims and tires.

This "street racing" was originally done on the streets at 1/8th mile. You dont want to be doing 200+ mph for another 1/8th mile on a bumpy street surface. Plus...I think an 1/8th mile gives "budget cars" a chance while in a 1/4 mile the 3000+ HP(high dollar cars) really starts to eat ground.
Very cool that you were there too. Just curious did you notice tire shake at all when you watched it in person? I didn't have a clue until I started editing this video and saw how crazy it got. I love finding little gems like that after the fact.

It's to help spool the turbo's up faster because the methane has oxygen in the fuel it self. Something a little like nitrous it has oxygen in it to. But I did see murder nova putting some in his car. It was in a live fee video with him and big chief talking .

Daddy Dave came on in Season 2. I had seen him at the Tucson race during season 1 and he didn't have his car he was just walking around checking things out. I think he liked what he saw and how big the crowds were so he decided to join in this current season. So who knows, maybe Chief and Shawn will cave in soon and want a piece of the action.

Chief has prolly got one of the lowest competitive budget cars out there and goes door to door with about anyone. Chief commented that Megladon has more in his hemi motor than Chief does in his car and trailer combined.
Why isn’t the speed limit 110 instead of 55? Why only. 1/4 pounder instead of a half pounder? Why do cars have only 4 tires instead of 8? Why go to school 12 years instead of 24? Why box 12 rounds instead of 24?
When drag racing began the average hot street car could hit 90 MPH in the 1/4 mile. These days you can buy factory stock vehicles that can hit 135 MPH in the 1/4 mile and a hot street legal car can hit over 180 MPH in half that distance. Why insist on an antiquated figure of 1/4 mile? Maybe you haven’t noticed that the most popular drag events and drag racing shows are all 1/8th mile.
Tim Sharpe Top fuel can run 1000ft at how many mph?? doorslammer runs mid 5’s in the 1/4 what’s your point?? All I’m saying is I understand they are street cars however at a up to standard track it would be nice to see them run the 1/4 to mix it up a bit! FMD
I’ve done plenty of track racing and it was all 1/4 mile but I think 1/8th mile is more entertaining at the local level. Most races are won or lost on the starting line and these guys are running close to 200 in the 1/8th.. Why should these guys put all that extra punishment on their cars by racing twice as far as necessary? Most of the 1/8th mile drags are over by the 500 foot mark anyway. 1/4 mile racing is for people who are stuck in the past and that’s from a guy who listens to the classic rock station.
