I never feel guilty about my quilt or stitching purchases because I’ve worked hard all my life and those purchases bring me joy. Now, if my family was going with food or shelter because of my addiction, that would be another story! So I figure I am honoring myself and it makes me happy. If I’m happy, everyone around me is. I completely understood how you feel about 'getting behind on projects'. That nearly always happens to me, it seems impossible to catch up, and then the project stagnates. I like your plan for catching up though! I have a hand applique project on which I am miles behind. I like your idea of 'prep time' then 'sewing time'. Maybe something similar will help me. I also always overpack stitching projects when traveling because of course the biggest problem would be running of things to stitch, or running into a problem with one project so I need another so I can keep stitching, and I never know what I may want to stitch (how will the lighting be, etc). I think we have the same problem there!!! That middle hexie on your Yazzii bag...perfection...it truly took my breath away and I immediately sent you a hug cross country. My husband is Chinese, my children, their spouses, and grandchildren are a combination of Chinese, Japanese, Hispanic, and Norwegian (me) and full of wonderful. So I am with you on not understanding all of the hate and anger and am worried about my family. There is no justification for this behavior.

I just made a trip to a favorite quilt shop today. I call it material therapy. My husband is an enabler! He encouraged me to get what I liked! I was trying to be good... Still picked up a few extra items.. gotta love a guy who wants to make you happy! He knows I love to create! I'm learning creative packing 😂 so I can carry a variety of projects. Tatting was the best thing I have learned for small handwork... But still like to have a variety.

Oh I feel for you both. my husband and myself and 35 year old son had Covid the middle of January. We lost taste and smell but it is back now. The fatigue lingered a week or so but doing ok now. Take care lots of rest. Good luck sending prayers 🙏🏻and❤️. And prayers for all our peoples❤️

fabric gives me great joy, I love to look at it for a couple of days before I do anything with it, I don't always know what I'm going to make and sometimes it just gets added to my stash but it's there when I need it. I loved your idea for prepping projects for trips and that's just what I'm going to do this afternoon ready for our holiday in Scotland in May now that we are allowed to travel. Happy days ahead 😊. The world is a harsh place to navigate and I'll never understand some peoples intolerance of other peoples race and culture, from reading the outpouring of support in your posts we have to believe that we are the majority. ❤

I recently found your channel and love it. We winter in our RV in Az and I bring projects. I have a 1917 Western Electric swing out motor machine that I travel with. I converted it to hand crank for when we don't have electric and I don't want to use the solar. I am primarily a quilter but love to sew garments as well as doll clothes for my grand daughter. TFS all the videos in the RV. Keep us the good work and safe travels
I’m with you Anna, we need to start traveling to all our favorite places to camp or fish or stitch. Or whatever it is that gets us up and out of the house. Nature is my go to. If I’m stressed or depressed all I have to do is get to the Forrest and smell that pine perfume. That relaxes me instantly. What a great state of mind to be in. Thanks Anna! No stress allowed! Takes one to know one. My grand is 50% Japanese and 2 yrs and 3 months. She is so sweet. It is so unbearable to imagine she would ever be discriminated against, or her Mom who is from Japan. She is working on a PhD in history of film and distortion of nonwhites at the turn of the century. Our history is very sad. On another note, love your hexy project. Oh “Someday”. Someday I will get to retire and spend time and all the energy I put in my job to living and spending time sewing and with family. I have been struggling whether I should go ahead and retire at 65 or work few more years. thank you from bottom of my heart Anna! After watching just the first few minutes my struggle with my decision and prayer for sign is over. My someday will be August 7, 2021. It will only be few months shy of 65 but not 70. I recently found your channel and love it. We winter in our RV in Az and I bring projects. I have a 1917 Western Electric swing out motor machine that I travel with. I converted it to hand crank for when we don't have electric and I don't want to use the solar. I am primarily a quilter but love to sew garments as well as doll clothes for my grand daughter. TFS all the videos in the RV. Keep us the good work and safe travels

I’m with you Anna, we need to start traveling to all our favorite places to camp or fish or stitch. Or whatever it is that gets us up and out of the house. Nature is my go to. If I’m stressed or depressed all I have to do is get to the Forrest and smell that pine perfume. That relaxes me instantly. What a great state of mind to be in. From there, the creative thoughts flow. Happy hexing!!

Thanks Anna! No stress allowed! Takes one to know one. My grand is 50% Japanese and 2 yrs and 3 months. She is so sweet. It is so unbearable to imagine she would ever be discriminated against, or her Mom who is from Japan. She is working on a PhD in history of film and distortion of nonwhites at the turn of the century. Our history is very sad. On another note, love your hexy project. Not that I need something else to do but looks like great fun!! Thank you!🤗🤗🤗❤️

Oh “Someday”. Someday I will get to retire and spend time and all the energy I put in my job to living and spending time sewing and with family. I have been struggling whether I should go ahead and retire at 65 or work few more years. thank you from bottom of my heart Anna! After watching just the first few minutes my struggle with my decision and prayer for sign is over. My someday will be August 7, 2021. It will only be few months shy of 65 but not 70. Bless you and all our quilting family.

That bag is called the Craft Bag. I have one I got on a big sale from the Quilt Basket. I keep it in my car with two projects in it for all the waiting around times. One small wool project and one cross-stitch.
