5 Types of LEGO Launch Rollercoaster!

- Using LEGO and LEGO Technic I build several different working rollercoaster launch mechanisms!
Launch rollercoasters accelerate riders from a standstill to high speeds in a short space of time creating high g-forces and adrenaline-fuelled rides!
The LEGO launch coasters I create get faster and faster until enough speed is created to complete the rollercoaster track!
This LEGO video is Part 3 in my series of rollercoaster videos showcasing how amazing LEGO is and what it is capable of!
The ride capacity is 15 LEGO minifigs per car.

What the hell...cm and miles? Are you trying to crash your Mars orbiter?
The roller coaster train doesn't have its own drive, but congratulations on the work you've done! :)
it sometimes does, ever eard of motorized coasters? those are mostly kiddy coasters and there is a motor with drive in the train propelling it forward
Now do a loop 🔥
Hi, check out part 2 on my page - I did a loop in that video!
@@BuilditwithBricks sorry😅
B&M watchout 😄
I loved this video 😃
You should put a small G force monitor thing on the coaster train to see how intense that turn is.
Yeah I reckon it might over the permissible human limits and therefore only suitable for minifigs!!
More roller coaster videos please! I would also like to see whole tracks and longer tracks again, where the motor types can be better tested.
keep up the work man
Hey thanks for the comment! I appreciate it! Will keep trying to bring you all great content!
I love these videos. Whenever I can’t sleep I watch them. Something about the sounds, background, the simple yet complex designs calms me. Keep up the amazing work!
Build a battlebot with a spinning weapon (make it spin very fast)
Your ideas are amazing.
Hi, thanks! I'm glad you enjoy the videos!
the stadium style seats and raised seats at the back remind me of oblivion's trains from alton towers
Love how it sounds like lsms
a linear synchronous motor like on roller coasters would be wild
I love it! Brilliant idea
very cool, that definitely would cost a lot to make something big.
Linear Synchronous Motors next!
That looked like a fun section!
Next episode: building a full sized roller coaster with lego! 😂 loved the vid, keep it up 🔥
Ah thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it!
You're always so creative with your ideas. I'm always excited to see what you come up with next
perfect
Incredible build
Thanks a lot!
This reminds me of the Mr. Freeze roller coaster from Six Flags St. Louis!
I think that ride is electromagnetically launched
@@drake52 maybe
You will be one of the Most famous Lego TH-camrs one day. Keep up man
Hi, thanks for the kind words! Really appreciate it!
Cool Video
that was cool
Super Lego!
Isn't the catapult technically a push type?
you should try to build a full circuit roller coaster
Thanks for the comment! Yes I'm building up to a full circuit! This was the first video of managing the roll into a 90 degree banked turn. Im going to need more 5x3 liftarms.....
Build it with Bricks: I need some 5x3 Technic L beams
Bricklink: How Many?
Build it with Bricks: How many do you have?
(Read in the "John Wick, Task A Crew" voices...)
The tire launch is good but probably expensive because of all the motors
Weight-drop launch: Doesn't exist IRL. Closest thing would be a traditional coaster where the train itself is the weight. The system you're using to transfer energy from the weight to the train, however, is very similar to the one used on Intamin's Accelerator model of hydraulic launch.
Catapult Launch: Doesn't exist IRL, but is similar in concept to a drive tire launch, like on Hulk or Firechaser Express.
Drive Wheels: As mentioned before, this is the system used on Hulk and Firechaser Express.
Self-Propelled: This is not actually classified as a type of launch. However, powered coasters do exist. Runaway Mine Train at Alton Towers and Dragen at LEGOLAND Billund are two examples.
Weight Drop launches absolutely do exist. The first four Schwarzkopf shuttle loops used them, and two of those four still operate! It was only the later shuttle loops that used flywheels.
It is worth noting though that the real weight drop system is a fair bit more complicated than what's shown in the video, but the concept is still the same.

I thought those were reverse incline lifts?
Great points! Thanks for commenting! I hope you enjoyed the video!
love the speed building so satisfying
Thanks for the comment! Glad you liked the video!
You should do a magnetic launch!
i have a question how many L beams did you have to get in order to make the track.
I lost count! Over 2000 at least!
nice, but I feel like you should keep the same track amount for each launch system
the first one was 4
second one was 5
drive tires were 6
Now make top thrill dragster or kingda ka🔥
Take a full cirect and maybe instead of a lift hill lauches instead
I’d love to do a full circuit! I need a lot more 5x3 liftarms first though!
The weight drop launch mechanism seems familiar….
Try to use Hydraulic Launch too
Trás o surf
They're only three types of launches, hydraulic, Drive Tire and, LSM. And trains/cars can't Propel themselves or break it's all on the track. Also you should make a magnetic break. Ps it's made out of copper.
how many L shaped brick (srry i forgot the name) do you have?
This guy:
I wish you updated the track and car design, very many obvious flaws.
Kes? Your entire analogy and explanation is TOTALLY forgetting the KEY point… lien was either seriously unwell, not interested, off her face, or on an entirely different planet in EVERY appearance….
Reports about her performance and behaviour had risen weeks after filming started BEFORE caretaker was even shown, we have heard the cast and crew repeatedly tell of her refusal to act, refusal to involve herself in development, her bizarre and often criminal behaviour on sets etc..
Saying her character had the bizarre development had EVERYTHING to do with her commitment and nothing to do with writing , editing or chance
