@@BuilditwithBricks “The Wesley theory”, the coaster in building will be a stealth style launch and break into several loops, 0g rolls and airtime jumps. It’s taking me ages but it will be a great addition to the park I’m making
I love these videos. Whenever I can’t sleep I watch them. Something about the sounds, background, the simple yet complex designs calms me. Keep up the amazing work!
This thing doesn’t have it’s own drive outside of launches either. The drive tire is mounted on the train to save from materials and increase the total time the train gets to be pushed off of the total launch time, not to be able to serve thrust throughout the whole layout. It is still as gravity operated as a conventional roller coaster as there are no grip pads on the track outside of launches that the train can produce thrust off of. The grip pads mounted on the track is more efficient because the total time the train is contacting the launch mechanism out of the total launch time is more than the first method where drive tires were seperated and the train would spend some time after exiting one tire coming onto the next.
This was very well made and tested, but it isn't really a coaster if it's self-propelled. I think you should have persevered with the next best option.

This is really cool, your my favorite Lego builder on TH-cam. You should maybe make a theme park with all your Lego creations. Also if you didn’t want it to be a big long video maybe you could make multiple parts.❤
Hi thanks for the comment! I’m sure in the fullness of time I’ll get there! Getting hold of so many liftarms is taking a long time and I’m still fine tuning corners. One day!
Weight-drop launch: Doesn't exist IRL. Closest thing would be a traditional coaster where the train itself is the weight. The system you're using to transfer energy from the weight to the train, however, is very similar to the one used on Intamin's Accelerator model of hydraulic launch. Catapult Launch: Doesn't exist IRL, but is similar in concept to a drive tire launch, like on Hulk or Firechaser Express. Drive Wheels: As mentioned before, this is the system used on Hulk and Firechaser Express. Self-Propelled: This is not actually classified as a type of launch. However, powered coasters do exist. Runaway Mine Train at Alton Towers and Dragen at LEGOLAND Billund are two examples.
Weight Drop launches absolutely do exist. The first four Schwarzkopf shuttle loops used them, and two of those four still operate! It was only the later shuttle loops that used flywheels.
It is worth noting though that the real weight drop system is a fair bit more complicated than what's shown in the video, but the concept is still the same.
Thanks for the comment! Yes I'm building up to a full circuit! This was the first video of managing the roll into a 90 degree banked turn. Im going to need more 5x3 liftarms.....
They're only three types of launches, hydraulic, Drive Tire and, LSM. And trains/cars can't Propel themselves or break it's all on the track. Also you should make a magnetic break. Ps it's made out of copper.
@@AirtimeAxolotl I never heard about weight drop. air compressed is basically a hydraulic but it's called pneumatic and it's usually used for drop towers or drop tracks, I guess it depends if it's manufactured by S&S. Also I forgot about lim. Oh and there are self-propelled trains but it's usually kids rides.
Kes? Your entire analogy and explanation is TOTALLY forgetting the KEY point… lien was either seriously unwell, not interested, off her face, or on an entirely different planet in EVERY appearance…. Reports about her performance and behaviour had risen weeks after filming started BEFORE caretaker was even shown, we have heard the cast and crew repeatedly tell of her refusal to act, refusal to involve herself in development, her bizarre and often criminal behaviour on sets etc.. Saying her character had the bizarre development had EVERYTHING to do with her commitment and nothing to do with writing , editing or chance
This looks like more Lego than I can afford in my lifetime
What the hell...cm and miles? Are you trying to crash your Mars orbiter?
Miles per hour is how fast smth is we don’t use kilometres for speed just distance
standardise the units, either use cm + kilometre, or inch + mile

This is actually unbelievable cool, a tire launch, banking and upstop and sidestop wheels, impressive
very realistic 2nd launch
Thanks!
You should put a small G force monitor thing on the coaster train to see how intense that turn is.
Yeah I reckon it might over the permissible human limits and therefore only suitable for minifigs!!
Now do a loop 🔥
Hi, check out part 2 on my page - I did a loop in that video!
@@BuilditwithBricks sorry😅
B&M watchout 😄
I loved this video 😃
4:09 ah that sound is so satisfying
It sounds like a rolar coaster in real life
This is awesome!! Thank you for making this 💙
My pleasure!
More roller coaster videos please! I would also like to see whole tracks and longer tracks again, where the motor types can be better tested.
You deserves a million subs
now let's see Paul Allen's LEGO
Thank you! I’ve been needing a good way to make Lego launch coasters for a while, and this really helped!
No problem!

Ah thanks!!
The roller coaster train doesn't have its own drive, but congratulations on the work you've done! :)
it sometimes does, ever eard of motorized coasters? those are mostly kiddy coasters and there is a motor with drive in the train propelling it forward
This thing doesn’t have it’s own drive outside of launches either. Hi, thanks! I'm glad you enjoy the videos!
The motors make it sound like a real launch

a linear synchronous motor like on roller coasters would be wild
but lsms are the most common type of launch
