You’ve earned a new subscriber, man. I just had to sell my 2017 YZ450FX out of financial necessity. It hurts my soul, brother. But i’m looking forward to getting back on a smoker whenever the money allows it, and the new TBI KTMs are looking dreamy! Can’t wait to see more of what you do with that beauty and to get one of my own!
10:14 I've been seeing mixed things on swapping the rear wheel between bikes with this new version. Sounds like you could put an old wheel on the new bike. But if you wanted to put the new rear wheel on an old bike, it would only work on an XCW with the smaller axle. If you wanted to put the new rear wheel on an older XC, you'd need to change that inner distancing tube also. Do you see any reason an older rear wheel would not work on the new 300XC? Any chance you want to give it a try?
@@highlandcycles I believe it will if you change that inner distancing tube. More work than just changing spacers though, that's for sure. Seems like they were fixing a problem that didn't need to be fixed. not sure why they necked down that inner spacer
@@highlandcycles I've noticed that the W has a different rear shock setup.... So I'm curious is that the only difference between the two bikes?? And also what's the advantages of either system?? Thank you in advance I'm interested in getting an XC next spring for ripping around in the woods and to try out on the MX track. Currently I ride a KX250F on the MX track as a preference but I also love cruising through the woods. Was waiting for something new and I think this might be it 🤔
Hey congrats on the new bike and i been watching your videos very informative. Its nice that you actually ride the bike i just purchased my own 23 XC and am struggling to find parts can you give me the part number for the rear disc guard and the front please ???
Hey bud, do you suggest me running those fork bleeders on my 2024 300 XC-W? Or now that KTM has gone back to a closed cartridge fork, maybe I don’t need bleeders? 🤷🏼♂️
Should never work on a dirty bike if you can help it for obvious reasons. TBH it's pretty unprofessional. Whenever I see a shop with dirty bikes being worked on or parked with parts opened up (especially carbs or engines), I know I couldn't trust their work.
This is my personal bike. All customers bikes get cleaned. I have lots of videos of me complaining about dirty bikes coming in and how much I charge to clean them first.
this video helped me get my Tusk rearguard on. Thank you.
I'm waiting for mine to show up, I'm told I'll have it by the end of the month. In the meantime I get to watch you ride/wrench on yours!
I've been loving this series, got mine on pre-order, so I'm excited to see it in action and hear your thoughts on everything.
Hope you enjoy it!
Luv to see this bike coming together.. 👍

Jeff Slavens would never work on a dirty bike 😜
He never gets a bike dirty. hahahah
That's clean compared to what I work on :)

You are right. The new wheel will not go on the older XC and SX bikes. Dumb really

You will need a linkage guard too👍
On the way

BPD makes great parts. I like this bike, but I'd personally be getting rid of the orange seat for a black one but that's just me.
The color is a little much and it’s going to get dirty. I will probably get a black cover when I ruin this one
@@highlandcycles lol, yup at least get your money's worth out of it ☺️

You still need to bleed those forks. I like these ones
@@highlandcycles copy that! I’ll get some ordered! 🤘🙏

@@highlandcycles Hey Morgan, what size wrench fits my 2024 KTM 300 XC-W rear axle bolt?
Can you delete the steering stops like on the 2020s??
Doesn’t have any
So I have a feeling you better put your mousses in - not that I can foretell the future or anything LOL
Hahaha DONE

Changing rear sprocket from ... 49 divided by 14 = 3.5
To ...50 divided by 14 = 3.57 doesn't seen like much change
It’s not.
@@highlandcycles ...Then why do it ?
@@goodboyringo9716 I wanted a DDC sprocket and I ordered it before I got the bike and knew what it had.
