great show man i wish someone could invest in the Durban CBD Buildings are dilapidating, crime is higher. every business is movibg north to mhlanga. just like what happened in Joburg CBD. The Point development looks promising.
You've also heard of the point , that great , yeah im a Joburger but love Durban , and with this development im sure your CBD will be revived , I mean Im on google Earth a lot so I mean there are very good parts , and parts that need fixing , but hey im positive that this will happen
We don't take responsibility for our actions as black that is why big business moving away from us everywhere we go we make place look dirty and dangerous we don't renovate we litter everywhere and urinate in the streets I don't know who will change us we don't learn from our white counterparts unless we learn to develop our own places those who have money will always run away from us
The problem is us black people we are not taking part in making our cities clean we just do as we please so the is no investor who can invest in a dirty and crime dominated place
Great video David , just watched both Durban videos and I am very excited for these projects , I just want to ask , I read an article in the newspaper about Prasa saying reconstruction and revamping of looted and dilapidated metro train stations is said to commence in June of this year and end in November this year , my closest metro train station is Clevland station and its very sad to see it looted and decaying , so I was excited to read this article , but I want your professional opinion , do you think this will happen or will it take more time( I'm more positive than not , but your opinion would be cool to hear)
Thanks for your comment Christopher. I will consider myself an enthusiast nothing else. I will try to provide answers on my upcoming videos. These projects take a lot of time to be done, 10 to 20 years sometimes. Getting funding, private and public entities working together or even international investment. CBD's are areas that have their own challenges. I believe a well informed public opinion can make pressure/difference to see changes rapidly. There are also people with influence giving their contribute to the rehabilitation of these historical areas. I am also learning with every video I do, trying to put the puzzle pieces together.
I am sorry to hear that Durban’s CBD is not in good shape. Seems like a waste in terms of private sector jobs. Anyone with sense knows that downtown areas are the economic drivers of large metro regions. Been proven worldwide.
