    I have been walking thru a few videos and THANKFULLY I came upon yours. I was very impressed with your reviews and thoughts and I saved your link for the options to use for mounts. I am at work and I feel much more armed with knowledge to go out and look for what will help me and what will work for the tripod that I have and the Bino's that I use. This is by far the best video out there about Bino's and mounts!

    • @Bestbinocularsreviews
      @Bestbinocularsreviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Loren - The adapters are usually fixed, but these then attache to your tripod & tripod head setup - the right tripod head will enable you to pan - you can take a look at what I use here: www.bestbinocularsreviews.com/blog/my-best-tripod-for-binoculars-astronomy-terrestrial-surveillance-04/ - of those, the Bresser with it's Pan handle is the best for panning.

    Hello Jason , Finally I received my Vortex Razor HD and I'm very very thankful for the helpful information you provide here and of course in the website , now i'm looking for a tripod adapter seems like are too many and I was wondering if I have to buy same brand to make easier the set up for the binoculars , I don't want to spend lot of money on the equipment but i'm willing to make an effort to protect and not damage the binoculars using third party adapter or generic ones. What do you think? cheers mate as always good vibes and best luck

      Hi Matt, yes, assuming the threads are standard .. and most are, you should be able to use just about any tripod, but try avoid very, very cheap ones as they end up being more annoying than useful in my experience.. for the tripod systems I currently use and would recommend: www.bestbinocularsreviews.com/blog/my-best-tripod-for-binoculars-astronomy-terrestrial-surveillance-04/

      @@mcelroychandler6267 Hi - If the Meopta's that you are talking about are described as "tripod adaptable" and you can remove the faceplate on the hinge, then yes, most likely as the screw thread used is in my experience almost always the same. However, I have not tested Meopta binoculars, but even so, I would be willing to guess that they do use the same thread size.

    Does celestron 20X80 SkyMaster have an adapter place for tripod

    • @Bestbinocularsreviews
      @Bestbinocularsreviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Richard, yes, most certainly - they actually have an integrated tripod adapter rod, so no need to buy a tripod adapter as they will fit straight onto your tripod head. So in a very similar way to these 20x80 Levenhuk's which I go through in the review: www.bestbinocularsreviews.com/Levenhuk-Bruno-Plus-20x80-Binoculars-Review-233.htm

    Hello Jason, Is 1/4-20 standard for these adapter as I am not having much luck finding a unit that mates with my "binos". the thread appears to be a lot finer and left me thinking it could be metric 6mm?
    Bought these in the 80's work great 10x50 Tento USSR.
    Much obliged for any help and direction you send me.

    • @Bestbinocularsreviews
      @Bestbinocularsreviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, yes there is a "standard" - it is a 1/4"-20 thread, this means that it has a diameter of 1/4 inch and 20 threads per inch - I am not sure how long it has been implemented and which countries have been following it and so yes, your Soviet binoculars from the 80's probably did not follow this and sorry, I don't know what they used or where you would get an adapter from to fit them other than having it custom made?

    I can't figure out which SVbony adapter to use, the SV110 or the SV111, on my Celestron Cometron 7x50 binos.
    The only real difference appears to be the length of the screw stud and how skinny it is for fitting between the two lens. I think both will fit in between but I don't know how they expect you to measure how deep the hole goes.

I am sure, if it is like mine ( www.bestbinocularsreviews.com/blog/why-i-got-the-bresser-polaris-telescope-to-compliment-my-astronomy-binoculars-03/) , you can change the one that comes with the telescope tripod to a standard "normal" tripod one.

    Does this mean that it would be okay to buy my 4 year old Grandson a pair of binoculars that have a stronger magnification than 8 x ? Would it be okay to buy him a pair of adult binoculars, with a tripod & adapter, instead of just buying him a set of kids binoculars ?

    • @Bestbinocularsreviews
      @Bestbinocularsreviews  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi thanks for the comment. In some way, yes I guess you could, but remember that a higher magnification also reduces the field of view making it harder to locate an object. So unless you have the binoculars set up on a tripod and aimed at a static object, they may find it hard to aim the binocular. My advice for choosing binoculars for a very young child would be to keep the magnification low.
