Congress party died in 1969. But still the old loyalist of congress think the present congress is the original congress. The difference between them is today’s INC is Indira Notional Congress not Indian National Congress. In this election Indira Notional Congress has deteriorated to INC(ML) Indira Notional C ( Muslim League).

    • @85Venkatta
      @85Venkatta หลายเดือนก่อน +5

Absolutely agree. This oldie Prof is a veiled AAP & INC loyalist. He always claims there’s a difference between wish and fact, and his wish is NDA conquers absolutely majority but fact may prove otherwise. While his real wish and facts seem vice-versa. I’ve been following his views in this channel atleast for 2 years now, definitely out of sync with reality. The way he is normalizing money for vote, corruption etc., my god typical D-stock, INC like verbiage. I am able to see Iyer ji cringing in his chair feeling the discomfort over his verbal BS…😂.

Prof RV is so concerned about educational qualifications but it has been evident that such things don't really matter in politics even though it is important. What an ineffective PM was the double doctorate in economics, M M Singh & Harvard graduate Chiddu was corrupt. Now IITian Kejriwal is behind bars. They maybe good as technocrats but not necessarily good in politics and leadership positions.

‘India’s Income Inequality Is Now Worse Than Under British Rule, New Report Says.
A new study from the World Inequality Lab finds that the present-day golden era of Indian billionaires has produced soaring income inequality in India-now among the highest in the world and starker than in the U.S., Brazil, and South Africa. The gap between India’s rich and poor is now so wide that by some measures, the distribution of income in India was more equitable under British colonial rule than it is now, according to the group of economists who co-authored the study, including the renowned French economist Thomas Piketty.’

That’s not true. Actually Modiji’s and Shah’s style of governance is different than other normal politician’s’ governance. In first 5 years term they delivered the basic needs of poor people. Second term brought the country up on international platform. And now this third term is for to take care of all those “ Brastacharios” to put them behind bars. If had they taken this action in the first term….it would had been a backfire in the form of publics’ sentimental reaction due to the sympathetic feelings of poor people towards the Gandhi family. I am from Gujarat ( living in US since last 40 years though ) know both Shah’s and Modiji’s way of working. Because me and my wife following Indian politics news and have so much interest and wish the best for our country and people. We love the present government.

RV sir, Congress was never a party for the people right from Gandhi/Nehru days and most of the good people in Congress handed over party to the family and that has caused the decline and it's extinction is inevitable. So for the time being there is no alternative to BJP. With number of lapses we notice in NDA administration we are forced to choose them with the hope Modi will step down & handover power to more dynamic people like Yogi who can involve young educated & capable people like Anna- malai Tejasvi and others and bring about the required improvement. In any case congress is in ICU brain dead and only it's last rites after the death declaration is due. May be after 10/15 years we can think of formation of a sensible national party or else the same BJP with young blood sd a single party carry on for the next few years. Jai Bharath.

BJP should remain in power till an alternate emerges on all India basis. Country faces huge challenges from outside as well inside. A rag tag coalition will be a disaster.

What Modi meant by Congress Mukht Bharath is that the parivarvad Party that is the INC today should go. This had been mentioned by BJP leaders. They did not mean the Party itself. The INC today is not what it was. It had itself undergone changes from Indira Ganghi's time. So what kind of alternative at the national level can this Congress Party offer unless there is a sea change at the top. Family Mukt Congress is what Modi meant. A parivar mukt Congress.

Present set of Congress do they have love towards India to survive as national party.
If not then his wisdom of giving such statements feel he still lives in his era.
Nothing personal sir. But statements should relate to present condition.
Hope I m not offending Sir views. If so my serious apologies

What is a national party? How to define? Every leader will be dumped as either left right or centre. What ever stand u take u will be branded. So once u r in politics u must b prepared to face criticism. There is no such party as national party. Those days have gone. Now power politics matters.

No implication. Congress has to come back as national party again. Only Gandhi family has to leave Congress without any role for them.
Only problem is that it's understood that they're trying to sell the lands allotted to Congress in different states and collect the money before they leave

Even if Annamalai loses he will be back as TN bjp president. Because BJP will be investing more on him rather than anyone else. He will again go into the people. That is how Jayalalitha did it and that is how anna durai also did. They kept on going to people. People faith confidence only when they see a longterm leader bot arbitrary. They will keep him no matter what

The BJP did not mobilise 100% Voters in 102 constituencies of Lok Sabha polls. The party must work harder to achieve the target of 400 ke par. All Karya Kartas of BJP must realise that their work needs to be more intensive and extensive to teach all the janata in all constituencies of Bharat.

Namasthe. I am disappointed with Prof RV’s interview. He seems to know the history very well, as well as the current events but if he feels that congress needs to be there because india needs a good opposition after all the nonsense and shit that they have done to the citizens of India, since independence, then I am sorry to say that it appears that he is becoming senile. He seems to have forgotten the lies, that they have spread and are spreading, the loot that all their ministers have taken, and how corrupt they are. I am not saying that BJP is not corrupt, but at least there are some very good patriots in the party.

I disagree with Prof Sri RV, regarding Congress being a National Party, should continue as the main opposition/ ruling party.
Congress remained as National party, only because it was the party handed over the Independent India. They exploited that situation.

Prof RV is completely wrong. If Congress is not wiped out, Congress culture won't be eliminated. Also he is brushing aside some of the most anti-national rants of Karti chidambaram as election gimmicks. Reality and consequences of such 'gimmickry" are there to see for everyone.

Prof RV, I am not convinced with your "middle path" approach. We need to convert "India" into "Bharath", hence demise of Congress( Nehruvian secular ideology) is a must. Hence the national opposition must be emergence of hard core Hindutva Party Vs BJP Hindutva. Even RSS is trying to pamper The Church & Mullas, hence BJP is likely to become "Congress-like " we need hard core HINDUTVA Party, in future. Hope Anantkumar Hegde kind of people will emerge & build a stronger opposition to BJP.
