The Magic of Snowfall in the COTSWOLDS: A Winter's Walk Through the English Countryside

- It is snowing in the UK today and I took a walk through Fairford Town, Cotswolds in the Snow.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning and more snow is on the way and a yellow weather warnings for snow, is in force across most of the UK. Temperatures are expected to plummet to as low as -10C tonight.
The name of the town is the modern version of its Anglo-Saxon name, Fagrinforda, which means fair, in the sense of being good, and ford, a place to cross a river. The River Coln flows rapidly from the Cotswold hills to the infant Thames, four miles away at Inglesham.

At 59 yrs old now.i have been dreaming and wishing somehow I could move to cotswold or someplace similar.i must have lived a very happy past life in a place like this because I'm so attracted to a place like this.

I did enjoy this video, so very much. I spent most of my childhood in the Cotswolds in the 1950s before coming to Australia. I have wonderful memories of playing and sleding in the snow. The silence that comes with snow is palpable.
I half expected a character from a Jane Austin novel to pop up.

Ah, this was the day I landed at Heathrow to visit my daughter. After the stress of the tube trip & train delays it was so relaxing to look out the windows at this beautiful snow & walk with my daughter in her neighborhood.

I loved this one, so pretty! I’m in Australia and we never get snow where I live, it’s so beautiful. I love reading the street signs or shop windows signs too. I even googled one to learn more about the place. How cold would it have been during this walk?

This is the prettiest area of England. The Cotswold. Gorgeous place. The brick color is pretty. I watch escape to the country on dabl channel in Tennessee. I love sll those houses. Of vourse there to expensive for me. But i can dream. ❤

I have decided I want to be there, inside that lovely little cottage next to the river off the bike lane. Just over the bridge tucked away under the trees. Where the ducks like to play. In front big ol fire, sipp’n a cupa!
