Thanks for showing howto cut a 1” strip from chipboard with a ruler safely. I have never worked with chipboard and want to make a journal cover.

Thank you for these tips. As a newbie to paper/fabric projects it is a little over whelming to start out. Blessings

I went online to purchase this trimmer and it says that it is not for chipboard. Have you had any issues?

You can also check your local scrapbooking store as I am sure they can get it in for you if they don't already have it! Hope this helps!

Where did you get your xacto blade handle? That handle looks like it is much easier to use and grip.

Nice video I have no idea the chipboard sheets are equally square. Do you think the Dahle 550 can cut chipboard as well? Thanks for sharing this video.

I am not sure about that one. I do know that before I got this Dahle trimmer, I was using the Fiskars rotary trimmer or a knife blade. When in doubt, go to the knife blade and a steel ruler. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

My quilting teacher saw me cutting and corrected me that the inch mark line should be covered. I have alwats gone right up to the mark. Bottom line, I guess as long as you are consistant either way throughout, the entire project should be ok. Maybe that is how she learned. ???

I go until i can barely see the line peeking out. Otherwise, how do you know you have not gone too far? 🤷‍♀️
