@@ChosenFewExpats yes sir. deciding between thailand and panama so may do the slow traveller route end of this year (when i retire). i am leaning more heavily to Panama though.
I'm biased but Panam outshines other developing countries like Thailand when it comes to banking, use of the U.S dollar, economic stability, etc. by a wide margin. Thailand is less expensive though.
Everything is relative. You may be surprised to know that some of the better neighborhoods are still relatively inexpensive by U.S standards. Where do you live now?
