I am glad you are promoting Volcan. I have been living in Volcan for the past 24 years. A good choice as a place to live. A good video. I would recommend learning Spanish. My family only speaks Spanish except for myself so I am pretty fluent.
Volcan is an excellent place to live and has everything you need for a quality lifestyle

Hi Ben and Kama, thanks for such an informative video. I am a 65 year old senior from San Angelo, Texas contemplating a possible move to Volcan. I am familiar with the area because I spent time there as a teen. I am thinking of driving my truck sometime next year to Volcan from Texas with my two dogs and whatever else I can bring with me. I am just in the planning stages. Again thank you for such a great video.

Volcan is an excellent option and much more affordable compared to other highland towns

How is the public transportation in Volcan? Do you need a vehicle to live there?
There are buses and taxis, plus you can ask friends to pick you up or drop you off - everyone is pretty friendly!
We’re Brazilians and have already gotten our provisional residence permit. We visited Volcan briefly on a private tour in October and liked it a lot. We’ll be going back to Panama in a few months. How can we get in touch to get some more info?

I love that area but I'm not going to have a vehicle so how far is a grocery store??
There are 15 grocery stores in Volcan.
Grocery stores are all over - there are quite a few on the main road. We are about 2 km from the closest grocery store - about 15 minutes walking.

Yes, during the winter the roads can ice over and there can be hail storms in Texas. A few years ago much of the state was out of power because of a big ice storm.
@@corazondelcielo …hail is known in Texas but being in NYC where “freezing cold temperatures” truly exists beyond roads icing over🤷🏽 respectfully speaking, people in the states are not associating Texas with having FREEZING COLD temperatures! Enjoy Panama🇵🇦… I used to visit family in Balboa during summertimes back in the 1980s
I lived in Texas before moving to Panama. In Texas, I either had the air conditioner on or the heater on. In Panama, i don't need either!

No, the town built inside of an extinct volcano is El Valle de Anton.
