    I had previously seen the clip about the 4 yr old set. She kept on the set because it was the last one her daughter did before she died. It’s such a tragic situation, and I can understand why she’s holding on the way she does. I’m grateful her tech is taking care of her instead of pushing her to let go already.

    Regarding the girl in the ER, yes we do treat nails in the ER. As an ER nurse we have pure acetone (and other solutions) to soak off fake nails. It’s very painful and the fungus is often terrible. Of course as soon as the nails heal they are back in the nail salon. Some folks don’t have the sense God gave a mule.

      Once the nails are healed, they can go back to the salon. Perhaps they could use some knowledge about what to look for when choosing a salon, how to avoid hack shops, and how to keep their nails healthy after the visit, but there's no reason they should never get nails done again. This started off being nice to know that ERs will treat painful nail problems, and ended with mocking the patient for something they shouldn't be blamed for.

    The last nails look like clubbed nails which can mean she might have health conditions like lungs, heart, or other problems. The person should definitely go to her doctor to find out if it is "nail clubbing"

      That's absolutely clubbing. Even if it's genetic and not caused by an underlying condition (in addition to what you listed liver problems can also cause it) it's still called clubbing. You can tell that it's not just wider nail beds because the tips of the fingers themselves are bulbous.

    I do have one friend who used a Dremel on her nails but stopped when I told her nail files were actually very inexpensive.
    Well I've had my scare for the day so now it's time for my relaxing cup of coffee☕.

    I used to bite my nails and chew my sides until my fingers bled. When I was about 16, my mum took me to a salon and they put acrylics on. You can't really bite those! Broke my habit after about 6 months and have never gone back to it. My nails were very thin and weak after the acrylics, so I used Sally Hanson's Hard as Nails for another 6 months and they've been lovely ever since.

    The green finger might actually be a damaged nail from impact, my mom had her finger smashed once and it didnt fall off but it looked green and infected. It was not infected or anything, it was just suppose to fall off and for some reason did not. so using products didnt harm or damage it more it just concealed the color until it grew out naturally to a healthy nail.

    • @WillowTree-ux5qy

      I had this, too. I dropped a hairdryer on my big toe. Nail stayed on but was extremely bruised underneath. Purple then blue, etc. The nail eventually grew out and fell off along with the bruised bits as a brand new nail grew in.

    • @traceej4685
      @traceej4685 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I'd had nail impact damage from running (common in runners) and my big toe nail as well as a few others have fallen off before and regrew without issue. They never turned green like that though. Her nail is severely infected and damaged and unfortunately if she doesn't stop wearing nail tips to get it treated and grow out she will permanently damage her nail bed and it will never grow back normal again. My pinky toes on both feet are like this due to tight shoes and not taking care of them. The nail bed is permanently damaged and those nails don't grow normally anymore. Lesson learned.
