- That’s The Gag, starring Keke Palmer, is a mockumentary style scripted comedy series which gives audiences a peak behind the Hollywood curtain. Once a child star glowing the spotlight, Keke Palmer finds herself all grown up and transitioning into adulthood, looking for a meaningful job. After a series of disappointments, she plans to resurrect her career in Hollywood as a comedic actress. From auditions to meetings to dealing with opinionated managers, the series follows Keke as she attempts to reinvent herself. The eight episode web series is (very) loosely based off of Palmer's real life experiences in this zany industry called showbiz.

Is that really her mom? Wow no wonder Keke is having so much trouble. Now I really feel sorry for her and understand why she is going through so much. That isn't a mom, that is a manager. What kind of mother would be ok seeing their daughter out like that. She acts as though she has 0 attachment to her daughter. She needs a grandmother or someone else to help guide her and really love her. This woman looks as Keke as a bank, not a daughter. So sad.
Marish Long, you do know they were acting in this video, right? It's a skit. Chill out. Furthermore, plenty of parents have been their kids' managers. There are many people who wish they'd had as supportive and proactive parents helping them pursue their acting, dancing and/or other dreams.
