IAN: Hey it’s Ian from iTechworld! We are doing something different this week, we are doing a live demonstration on our satellite equipment. A lot of people have been messaging us asking how to use the Marriage Saver, the D4 Satellite Finder. So we are going to do a live demonstration on Great Eastern Highway on how to set it up. So we have our reference chart, this tells us what angle to use the satellite dish at and which compass bearing to point it. So if you have a look at the satellite dish here we have set the angle for Perth which is 33 degrees. If you just have a look on there, using the angle finder you can see its set to 33 degrees. So that’s the first thing you want to do with your dish. You get the angle on your dish correct. The next thing you do is to use your compass to find the compass bearing to find where the satellite is. In Perth, it’s 59 degrees east of Perth which is roughly there. Once we got that in our heads, we use a short axle cable from the D4 to the satellite dish to the LMB. We switch on the D4. The great thing about the D4 is that it doesn’t have to be connected to your VAST box or your satellite box, it's battery operated so it has its own power. We switch it on, and then we press the information button on the unit. When we press the information button, it will tell us the signal intensity and quality is coming from. If you want to show that. As you can see we got the blue bar with is our signal intensity and the green bar which is signal quality. So now we want to move the satellite dish from its current position towards the compass bearing to the satellite in the sky. We simply move it, as we are moving the dish the reading on the D4 will show us we are getting closer. As we got closer the green has gone up so has the blue one, 64% quality, 83% intensity and we have live TV on the D4. So using the D4 it takes all the guess work out of setting up satellite you can literally set it up in five minutes. If you have a look we have a freeway in front of us, high rise buildings, shop and it’s really easy to use. They call this the marriage saver because it eliminates any guess work. You don’t have to shout into the caravan if it’s on yet because it’s all in your hand, you get live TV in your hand. You can charge this on 12 volts or 240 volts so you just charge it when you're not using it. And you should only be using it for a couple of minutes. It makes setting up satellite really really easy.
