This song is more faithful than I expected and it has that lax vibe that the original one has too. It's not a bad cover but it wasn't the right song for them to do because of its nature.
I think this one of favorite covers. I think the intro fit so perfectly. They kept the idea of the song but put their twist on it and that's what Punk goes 90's is all about.
Being as young as I am (16) I loved the original itself then I heard that MMF was doing this and I was really surprised but damn they did hella good!
When you listen to the original, you will realize that this pales in comparison to the original.
KJ Asbell it's supposed to they are covering the song not living up to its shit.
As much as I was not a total of this cover (and don't get me wrong, I fucking love Memphis May Fire), I have a great amount of respect for them for their take on this song. Respect in all directions.
With that being said, rest in peace, Scott Weiland. Thanks for everything you have done for this music industry, including bringing the inspirations for covers just like this one.
Am I the only one that actually enjoyed this cover? I mean, don't get me wrong, STP's version will always be superior, but this cover just had a flow to it that I actually liked...

Ever since the very first time I listened to MMF I've never been disappointed.
At first I didn't really like it, but it really really grew on me. I can not stop jamming to this in my car while everyone gives me dirty looks LOL. Love it guys

I love this track instrumentally but I think Matty's vocals are to dubbed over, and awkwardly low.

Jason Buckland Yeah, MMF is literally the most basic form of 'metalcore' you can get. Everything sounds really similar and cookie-cuttery.

Listen to the original, Scott Weiland's voice was perfect for this song, the drums are not overdubbed, and the flow was definitely better than this autistic seizure POS attempted flow.
People have such low expectations for music these days it's fucking sad can't wait till this garbage fades away and good music comes back it's bound to happen eventually

Don't get me wrong, it's a pretty good cover. But I think in this particular case it would have better if they'd left the tempo alone and kept things simple like the original, the singer is good enough to carry it.

I like that they changed it up a bit here. Why listen to a cover thats an exact copy of the original? They have to change it a bit to make it interesting and fresh. This song wasn't the best choice for them, but at least they mixed it up unlike TCM who seems to have played it safe...still a good cover, but it would've been nice to have something a bit more "new" I guess...

Perhaps those who didn't like this song simply aren't true fans of the "Punk rock" genre because i thought this was actually a great cover by MMF. Why do i think so? Well i like the "punk rock" genre, and within the "punk rock" genre, heavy guitars and "whiny" singers are ~usually~ the norm.

You guys seem to forget that the point of the record is to put their own spin on the song, not just cover it.
Seems that everyone's comparing it to the rest of the album, but each band is different, ya know? I think we should compare this to Unconditional..because THIS is the MMF I know & love & this is what I wish more of Unconditional would have been like...Anyways love this song. :)

Instrumentally this track is actually pretty solid and the riffs are a lot more coerce than what I heard from the new MMF album. The production is throwing me off a lot especially with the vocals

He did not try on this song... But it sounds good. Of course they could have made it alittle heavier but then once you think about it you realize it can't be like Granade. Granade sounds like it was meant to be a heavy song from the start and the lyrics pretty much fit with MMF. But as you can see some songs aren't meant to be changed and this is one of them but I like it. I'm just speaking for all the fans who are confused on this song.
Well, this cover, obviously, doesn't sound like the original, it doesn't have the same feeling but I think that I why it's called a cover, not just a performance of the original track. If you want "the real feeling" go listen to Stone Temple Pilots' original version. If you want something different, knowing that you may like it or you may not like it, then here you are.
And here you have another opinion: Sounds cool, different and maybe a bit catchy because some riff in the chorus that sounds clearly faster in this cover. Nice cover.
This is the first song I've heard and the music is nothing like the original which is what your supposed to do with a cover. Take what the band did first and then take your band and what it does best. Bend it over and fuck it then you have a baby with both qualities from both bands!!!! BOOOM! knowledge

Thing is with all these covers is that to the bands it means nothing, they merely want the money for it I think. Your not gonna see the bands play these songs live or anything so I don't think they really bother too much with them..
Yeah, matty, the person that insisted god be present in all of his songs,and a band that made a song about how a record label that used them to their liking for profit. Im not saying they'reperfect,but do u really think the only reason MMF did this was for something as desperate as profit from one song and no other reason (no offence) cuz if u did u might want to reevaluate. Original was better, i think if they took out the original song in the beginning and went straight to the revised riff it would of been better. Also should of left out the breakdown or done a better job with it. The original song didnt have a bridge or anything but i guess thats why they did to make it a longer song.
