Richard: Beautifully done. Like Jerry, I am blown away with your interpretation and 'feeling' poured out on this special day of Remembrance. Battison Haynes's Meditation (2:28) was moving in the extreme. Thank you, and thank you Jerry for introducing BH to me too.

We're listening from the U. S., Massachusetts - New England. My husband and I are both organists. My husband is now retired and in poor health but he really enjoys watching your channel. Thank you for doing this. It is such a blessing to hear all these familiar hymns, and hear some new ones too.

Richard (and Caroline) I missed you yesterday. I’m coming from the land of Dorothy (Kansas, middle of the US) where the wizard of oz happens. I’m listening to church while I’m preparing supper for my sister, brother-in-law and my elderly mother.

I was a bit off guard by track #3 "America the Beautiful". I know we in the USA are often perceived in a variety of light from "Okay to hate." We are the "bastard step-child of the United Kingdom" after all. 😁Sure, we gained our freedom from killing men from the UK and with help from France. I do know a bit of history and thankful for all who gave their lives on both sides in 1776. Thank you for presenting all of this as "Remembrance Day."
You gave the score a new light for me, hearing "America the Beautiful" from across the seas. It meant a great deal to me and didn't seem to fit. Nonetheless, I do honor ALL the dead, all of the dead including my state of Texas having gained it's independence from Mexico March 2, 1836 to become it's own independent country.
That said, indeed I do look back in full *Remembrance of ALL HONORED dead.* What a wonderfully unexpected music score recognizing not just America. From Barrow Alaska to the Tierra del Fuego archipelago in Cape Horn. The America's. The western hemisphere. Even following with "Thou, whose almighty word." Indeed I respect my Russian friends for all honored dead. What a wonderful history, Russia. I do not hate Russia. I Love my Russian friends. I dislike their government and it does great harm to the lovely people of Russia.
Richard, I live in downtown Austin Texas, two (2) miles, 3.3 KM due west from the State Capitol Building. The same distance from a very cold natural spring (Barton Springs), if you'd like to see beauty inside a huge metroplex, check out Barton Springs. Crystal clear spring waters. I do indeed believe I live in the greatest country this world has ever seen. I do not take anything, NOTHING for granted. I deeply love and respect all peoples of the world. We have all gathered here and it is that very diversity the makes us one world inside of one country standing for all peoples, speaking for all humanity.
As a member of this virtual congregation, I do reflect all honored dead that fought, gave their lives for what they believed in, as I would give mine without thought to die for my country and it's allies. Our closest, those across the sea. Two great countries separated by only one common language, English 😊.
Thanks Richard. A great way to express Remembrance to ALL, the embodiment of humanity. In this congregation, my prayer to follow this music. Your/our honor to humanity.

A year + later, I watch and thank God for what clarity he has delivered. I understand what you are saying, but I am sure as you are to give thanks to every second he and others invested into getting this produced as is. I sure could have used your talents recording what I did in 1973. It's good advice for sure, but as far as my ears can tell, well, I place myself there visually and try to feel the vibrations through my very bones. The sight, the sound, the feel, everything! This is a renaissance man living among us. He's mastered not just the manuals and pedals, but the full understanding of technology as he knows it today. Well enough to open the doors to his home church and to invite the world inside to enjoy the sounds during worship. I have problems with the three pedals on the piano, careless everything that comes with it. If his production had that kind of talent, we all would miss out on what's most important. I can't help but think his stops should be backlit with various colors to give him the milliseconds to find the stops by instant glance, sight, and not just the tactile senses of having to remember by the height and location of every stop, but coupled with colors from the visible spectrum of light to shave off a few milliseconds, when he executes the changes in the stops he has to pull, well that's much further than just moving the mics. So you are on the right path but I am unable to be there in person and this is enough for me from afar. Glad he jumped through flaming hoops to just get this to us all. We sure share the same interests and it is all made possible by him. Yeah, part of me thinks the sounds, and overtones are equally important. My head i s already exploding around what he already delivered. I'm typing and listening at the same time, but not distracted, I remain overwhelmed from across the seas. Truth told, he needs mics for every pipe and then more for the sounds reflected in the Abby, "The very source of joy." this July 21, 2022 and I'm hearing the first time and lovin' it! Encore! "Crown him" and smile. Looking forward to more, but listening in the here and now for the first time. I dig it. He connects with thousands quite well and how does anyone accomplish that alone when everything is so personal to each of us, to our very souls and spirits. He's got me baffled. 🤔💭

But why should he know “sweet by and by”? It is not in keeping with broad theological hymnology. It’s a perfectly nice hum-along, but neither its theology nor tune is clean. Hence one does not associate it with the great hymns of the church. It was something fundamentalist congregations once enjoyed singing in more rural settings (and humming in the kitchen), but was never accepted broadly beyond that. Perhaps for good reason. To be sure, other such hymns (Abide With Me) happily made the cut and became acceptable, but not that one.
