    I just moved from Perth where my avg internet speed was 80Mbps/20/Mbps costing $80pm incl. discount. This is probably the most common speed there. I now live in Auckland where my avg internet speed is 300Mbps/100Mbos and costs $69pm incl. discount. If I wanted I could get 900Mbps/500Mbps for $89pm incl. discount. The internet in NZ is so much better than Aus.

    • @RodrigoSantos-pf4ip
      @RodrigoSantos-pf4ip ปีที่แล้ว

      for the most consistency connection, you will need to plug a ethernet cable, because the wifi connections have interferences through the "barriers" (glasses, walls, microwave, etc.). So plug in the ethernet cable and you will see the big difference.

    • @notgeorge5697

    • @la7dfa
      @la7dfa 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@notgeorge5697 100/10 sounds like cable internet. It is a shared resource, so when others are using it, it may be bogged down.
      Also, you really need to know what is going on in your own PC and your family. If anyone is maxing the upload or download you will get high ping.
      You should test the internet without any other activity than your own ping and see if you get a stable low value.
      You can use Pingplotter or traceroute (tracert) to see if there are spikes outside your own network.

    in australia they rip you of with internet plans and cost, the highest internet plan you can get for retail home internet is, 1000 download / 50 upload 1000/50 which cost around $170. They have a enterprise plan for business, but to me it's just bullshit australian marketing to rip people of, the enterprise plan is 1000/1000 which cost around $800 to $1,000 a month, can you imagine that, australia is so far behind from the rest of the world and love to rip of with dodgy prices.

      @la7dfa 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@passionatebeast24 I manage with 10/10Mbit 4G right now, and actually it works if you are patient.
      It is enough for streaming a video, and that is what I would consider the absolute minimum demand for today's internet.
      But downloading a large game like Microsoft FS takes over 24 hours, so for me, it is a bit painful, even if it works.
      But I am getting fiber probably in a month, so then it will be far better days. 300/300 or 500/500 cost roughly 70/75€, and considering I live on an island 50km from the nearest city it is good pricing. In the future we will probably get open access for all ISP and then I get the price will be knocked down even more. In a few years, I bet 1 Gbit will not cost more than 300Mbit today. PS: I am at 63 degrees north in Norway.
