That 2 minutes of silence created sooo much tension that I couldn't hold my smile in anticipation to hear what (and when) you were going to say hahahaha
Having that moment of silence in the beginning and seeing Adam's smirk increased my hype for this video so much xd This game is a masterpiece. You could really tell SP went all out and made every detail with care.
I was laughing at the intro pretty hard. I Love how these book reviews allow Adam to embrace his Fandom / Nerdy interests and help create a very real connection to him. I find all my favorite teachers I have had I could easily connect to, not that it is entirely important to learning... but for me it makes it exciting to learn from those I share even the smallest interests with.
It makes me so happy that you also speak from a gamer perspective. This is just one of those games where I can walk around doing nothing, and just enjoy the visuals. That's becoming an increasingly important factor for me when I buy new games, since I've started my art journey not too long ago. That appreciation was always there at the back of my mind for me, but it took picking up a pencil to let the feeling manifest itself. Even though I haven't got it yet, it's the first one that I will get when things get back to normal for me.
00:57 when te background music gets more exciting while you are opening the plastic film... incredible feature! This video is a piece of art already, thank you.
Ghosts of Tsushima is 2020 Game of the Year for sure. Everything about it embodies everything to an uber great game that tells a story of war and its grey areas that make perfect sense. What makes it stand out the most from others that is based on Samurai and Feudal Japan is that it is the first game to cover the Mongol Invasion Era of Japan up close and personal. The visuals are outstanding. The gameplay holds up for what it is. It shall remain to be the game we shall all be talking about long after we are all gone.
I've been playing the game.... man o man it's awesome on my 60" screen tv. The golden forest is breathe taking. It took me back to Akira Kurosawa's movie Dreams. Really captures Japan's nature and beauty. I find myself just exploring the map and looking around.

Adam, I just hope I have the honor of meeting you and having a nice chat over a coffee some day. You're a great inspiration for me! And your videos... I just can't get enough of them! Thank you for this, really.
Adam, you should probably check out the game and the art of Nioh 2. It's a smaller studio that deserves much more love than they got with their 2020 Nioh sequel. It's heavily influenced by soulborne series, it has gorgeous art and it's a visual candy. Knowing how much of a fan of Souls series you are, I wholeheartedly recommend you at least try and play the game, you might have a seriously good time. As always, a great review, I loved watching and playing Ghost. :)
Oh wow, I didn't know about the art book, I love the game (and am also a senior Illustration student in college rn) so thanks for the share! I'm relatively new to the channel. Keep up the awesome content :D
I just found this after ordering the book myself but WOW your camerawork is stellar! Can I ask what you're filming on for the desk shot? I've been struggling with framing and this hit me like a ton of bricks. Great work! :)
I dont paint or draw. I am into level design, nothing big. I have made a number of maps though. Despite this I still find what Adam has to say very valuable. I listen to him when I'm working on a level. Love your content man, I wish you nothing but the best.
If you find the time please play the game some more and especially have a look at the (free) DLC they added recently: LEGENDS. They flipped the entire art style on it's head, giving it way more supernatural vibes, and it looks absolutely gorgeous!
yep started playing the game finally even though I have owned for months and just ordered this book on amazon . Yea I hate that work interferes with gaming
I've seen a bunch of your art book videos, and this one was really great. The book itself also seems to be something special - the build quality as well as the contents. I didn't like how relatively little art the Cyberpunk 2077 book had (although I'm still hyped AF for the game) but this one looks to be exactly what I want from an art book. Pretty sure it'll end up in my collection at some point :)
Haha! you keep one-upping yourself with the irreplaceable value of your videos! I am so, so happy that I have found your channel Adam. Thank you for everything!!
OMG, at the beggining of the video I had the volume so loud that the sounds of the chair made me think that Adam was farting, I LAUGHED SO BAD MAN, hilarious entry! xDDD
I heard the print quality is awful and that most pictures are too dark and so there´s no way to see details in the armours etc. Also that the built quality of the book is bad. Is that true?
The book has flaws, paper quality and print quality, the details in the dark seem to be lost 20% of original artwork as I flipped through out the book I decided not to buy. but everything else's very good
Hmm, I hear you - compared to most of the books I’ve reviewed it’s nothing uncommon in terms of quality though I’d say the dark souls books had weak spines that came I done but this is passable
69th like gorgeous video btw, production-wise and subject matter. The idea that increased color variety in the peasants could actually increase their utility as filler within the environment really blew my mind.
I don't like the digital art in this book. It should've been more hand painted art. It's a totaly different feeling if it was done by hand and pencil and makes the difference.
I imagine you start every video this quietly you just never cut that out until now. So fitting for this game.
Lol - I start with a good 30 mins of ASMR
that intro was intense man
especially when you think with the plastic wrap removal you only get the one take
The environments for this game is incredibly beautiful.
That 2 minutes of silence created sooo much tension that I couldn't hold my smile in anticipation to hear what (and when) you were going to say hahahaha
XD me too, I literally let out out a breath when he finally said something
bro same) best unboxing i've ever seen
love the subtle camera movement!
The team/art behind this amazing game is such an inspiration to me and the art I hope to create one day.
Having that moment of silence in the beginning and seeing Adam's smirk increased my hype for this video so much xd This game is a masterpiece. You could really tell SP went all out and made every detail with care.
Another book to add to my Christmas list

The opening was the most funny and most frustrating thing I've had to endure.
Love that little stab at our ‘dear leader’-also an interesting insight about character design. Great video, as always, wish you the best!
That opening really made me smile :D
00:57 when te background music gets more exciting while you are opening the plastic film... incredible feature! This video is a piece of art already, thank you.
That by the way was complete coincidence - not at all planned
1:16 into the video and the intro already made my day better
That intro was golden
Where do people learn to make art like this? Looks so damn nice!

Loved the silent opening 😄 Looks like a very beautiful book
And as well it was so beautiful to use wind to follow in the game really made it a breathing work of art
Wow that was a great video 💪
As iam from india this is my sweet treat that we yave at the end of the day.waiting for your video on this so long. So excited
Wow, this video is very well done.
Intro gave me ASMR tingles. Thanks.

I love the silence...
I continue to watch with intrigue! Have yet to play this game, but watching and looking at all that beauty gives me the itch to create!
I'm sobbing it felt like you were sitting directly in front of me and staring into my soul loool, great video (':

I loved the opening so much!

Dude.. I thought you were going to do the entire video like the beginning. Great video man!
I’m so excited to get my copy this week! Lovely review as ever, thank you Adam!
*excited screaming*
I hear the music and I was kinda hoping Adam would show up with a straw hat/bamboo har or something :D for immersion of course
I just found this after ordering the book myself but WOW your camerawork is stellar! Can I ask what you're filming on for the desk shot? I've been struggling with framing and this hit me like a ton of bricks. Great work! :)
Thank you for the information.
love the intro, haha
Adam's ASMR Realness 😄👌
I don't know if you were aiming for an ASMR kind of intro... but you nailed it anyways... 😂👍❤
nice broll shot

My heart lowkey stopped when I thought he was going to stab the book...
yep started playing the game finally even though I have owned for months and just ordered this book on amazon . Yea I hate that work interferes with gaming
Adam, you should really play Hades if you like rouge-likes. It looks amazing, it sounds amazing and plays as good as Bloodborne
Nice, will definitely look Into it
I definitely want this book even though I have it as a digital copy too, it's been sold out!
That girlfriend review reference though 😂😂

I'd love to see a video on the witcher art book (the games, idk if there's one for the show)
Problem is there’s only a compendium, no art book!
Glad to see it, i wonder when you will get the WITCHER series or ilustration
Open the book, Adam!!!😂😂😂 I loved this review, I'll be adding it to my wish list!
🙂
Was Hol' up a minute a reference to Girlfriends Reviews Ghost of Tsushima video? Or just a coincidence?
Definitely a girlfriend review shoutout - exactly at the bird chasing parts
Haha! you keep one-upping yourself with the irreplaceable value of your videos! I am so, so happy that I have found your channel Adam. Thank you for everything!!
When i think of the Ghost of Tsushima i thought of Mr. Tyler 😅
Great vid! It's a shame that the book is sold out everywhere :(
Your presentation, cadence & voice reminds me of Johnny Millennium, aka The Happy Console gamer here on TH-cam. 😃
I wanted to order that book too but for some reason it’s unavailable! Fun intro BTW
I love you dude, cheers.
OMG, at the beggining of the video I had the volume so loud that the sounds of the chair made me think that Adam was farting, I LAUGHED SO BAD MAN, hilarious entry! xDDD
wow I'm earlier then usual

This is channel is worth 24 karat
