I would love nothing more than a 16 year long video from you, Adam! You're the only person that always puts me in the mood to draw :) you've helped me get through so many art-related rough patches. Hope you're having a great day
In the TH-cam landscape of flip-through "artbook reviews" I really love that you stop and talk about the art, pointing out all the little details and your thoughts on the ideas behind it. Also as a bonus, the production value of your videos is off the charts!
Fun fact. The Art of the Witcher 3 is pretty amazing but the print was only ever made for the special edition HOWEVER if you own a PC copy of the game and you look in your install folder, you should all own a copy of the PDF along with the basic soundtrack.
I didn't even see the 19 minutes passing what kind of witchcraft is this that's why Dumbledore used to have that Hourglass of Interesting Conversations
Hey Adam, I'd love to see an update video on this. I'm very curious what's your take on the whole Cyberpunk situation and what were your thoughts on the game if you've gotten a chance to finish it.
hey this is late.... but you can see his thoughts on the situation in his "favorite art book of the year" video when he talks about the cyberpunk art book!
Great video! As a graphic & motion graphic designer, I love your attention to detail and your very design take on this title. You really made me think and get even more excited with your recognition of that sort of 'corporate brand/product cohesion' that marketing companies peddle to consumers, and how the 1 size fits all mentality of cyberware in this universe fits the "high-tech low life" ethos of cyberpunk (punk being especially invoked) SO FUCKING WELL. I really like how the technology for vehicles and every day tech retains this analogue/80's style aesthetic, almost like it was frozen in time once they hit a certain 'tech floor' with how the technology works. It really gives you this feel that pondsmith's (Original table top creator) cyberpunk world sort of hit certain strides in technology way before we did in the modern world.
Man, I came from Boro's suggestion and I'm amazed by you Adam. Great video, great person, a great perception of design, and lore. Gonna see all of your videos from now and forever. Cheers!
Really great review! I particularly liked the car section and how close they resemble old car ads. Almost liked they scanned a bunch of those ads and “futurized” them, using the ads themselves as a base. And because style is so cyclical anyway, it works within the the world they’ve created ! Everything Old is New Again... Cyberpunk has truly blossomed this past couple of years with Blade Runner of course but also No Gun's Life, and the return of Ghost in the Shell. Cyberpunk 2077 is poised to be the cherry on top!
Adam! I really enjoy your videos man. Your BladeRunner art book review made me pull the trigger on the book as it was sitting in my cart for days. But also your art topic discussion videos keep me chasing the art dream of both getting better and living off of my art one day. Thank you.
Watching your videos from time to time and also as one of the artists that is working on the project checking out this video and seeing also my art was pretty odd and cool at the same time :).
I preorder this book, and this book reminds me of the God Of War (2018) book, meaning: GoW's art book was cohesive with the game and vise versa with the game. Although I have not played CP2077 game, you can feel while you flip though the pages that you are in the universe, and I think if a art book can make you feel that you are in the world, then I know damn well the game will do the same and then some. Awesome book. I am going to read it again days before the game comes out.

I hate to break it to you, but that isn’t the art book. It’s the _World_ of Cyberpunk 2077 which examines the lore of the game. I wondered how you got the game’s art book before the game came out. Then, as you were going through it, I wondered why it had so much text and so little concept art and didn’t really feel like an art book. Upon slightly further research, I learned that it’s less of an art book and more of a visual guide to the game world. It’s still cool that CDPR released it, but it’s not quite what you’re advertising. I think they’ll release the official art book after the game is out, which I look forward to you exploring with us in a future video.
I heard this was advertised as an artbook but you're right, its a lore book. The fiction is what is front and center and the images and art that are in the book help paint a picture for said fiction...which isn't a bad thing if you're going into it wanting more of the world of Cyberpunk. I thought it was a great read. Also I dunno if they'll make an artbook for this game. From what I seen, Witcher 3 also got a lore book (same writer too) and a official artbook didn't come out for that game.
@@waynechriss Hmmm... it would be a shame if they didn’t release an art book. That’s what I was looking forward to about this game, especially since it turned out to be a blunder.
I just had to get the Deluxe Edition of this book because I love what they're doing with the packaging for both this and the Collector's Edition of the game. I can't wait for November, it's going to be a blast exploring this dense and atmospheric city! I've been getting more and more into more immersive and narratively driven titles, and Cyberpunk is probably the only one close on the horizon that fits that description, so I hope that the quests and NPC interactions are complex and diverse, the rest of the game's mechanics are secondary to me.

Tolkein's works, for instance, aren't actually that old, but they're already used as the basis of so much of today's interpretation of high fantasy that a lot of ordinary pple don't know the difference anymore.
Sad that CDPR didnt put any kind of effort to expand the lore of the gangs and district they instead they concentrate on Johnny Silverhand story because of Keannu Reeves instead of the Lore of the game...

"it wouldnt surprise me if, in the future, pple start misinterpreting Witcher 3 lore as real lore"
Yea, that's so true.
Witcher lore is made out of many real folklores. Most of the creatures in the game are from actual folklore of european countries.
