I just tried this recipe and it was really good. Although, I added a bit of sugar to the pork when it was boiling just because I prefer a more sweet and savoury meat and I used worcestershire sauce instead of coffee. I'll definitely be making this again.

How come u never sprinkled water to soften the rice? How does it get soft on its own

Kukua Ackom because the heat trapped in the saucepan can cook the rice..👍🏾

There's also enough sauce to help soften the rice

When u measure your rice you should have an idea of how much water to use, also how soft you want your rice to be. With this, you don't need to add or sprinkle any extra water. This is why I like measure everything when cooking ... Plus, it gives consistent taste

My problem with u is u never let ur tomatoes stew or sauce cook to finish. This Jollof looks more like light soup cooked jollof.

betty lartey exactly... I think this is Nigerian method cos we Ghanaians fry our stew

And that's one mistake we always make..when cooking jollof, you don't have to over cook your stew..cos you are still going to cook it again with rice for 40-1hr....its not advisable to over cook it

@@allthingsnash4333 yeh...i dont know why some people waste time to cook the stew base as if cooking normal tomato stew..Afterall it can cook properly after adding the rice since it takes like 40 to 45mins to cook jollof....

@@ohemaaafia9875 I think it's because some people also like to keep some of the sauce aside to the stew. Not me though but I know some people who like that so I'm guessing that's why
