Arpeggios truly bring so much to guitar playing. Using them in creative ways makes phrashing unique!

After having my Les Paul shelved for 20 years, Covid pressed me into getting back to my guitar roots. Having your simple instructions has led to the joy of playing again. Please keep them coming

Awesome lesson Marty. I've gone through the video a few times now and I'm starting to feel that feeling of accomplishment. You and Tomo Fujita are my favorite internet guitar teachers. Tomo teaches me the basics - like triads - and you teach me how to play. Heard you met Tomo recently... Tomo is a heck of a nice guy. You too... Thanks for everything you do.

Awesome lesson marty! Whats really interesting is that almost all of the great blues players play arpeggios a whole lot there if they are aware of it or not. There is a really good video from many years back of BB King giving a guitar lesson and when he is showing some phrases and licks he is using a lot of arpeggios and triads and you realise that he isnt just playing random stuff hoping it works he is really looking to land on a note within a dominant 7 or major 7 arpeggio which is really interesting.

Awesome stuff! I only started learning guitar 7 weeks ago and I'm documenting my entire learning journey on here (shameless plug to tempt curious minds into following along) so this was super motivational! Marty will be showing me the bluesy ways once I reach a level ready for it!

A guitar lesson that blues masters should excel at is this: How to get the blues OUT of the pentatonic scales. It too me years to get over that hump.
