Have watched this a number of times just think its a great vid, nicely done, nicely ridden i know what its like iv carried my bike up that way that was bad enough but we went down white side was way too knackerd too do sticks pass but i AM doing sticks pass on 3rd june its my 60th birthday so thats my goal.
Thank you for not slapping Skrillex or some other garbage over the top of this. Always good to hear the sounds of the surface, helps you get a feel for it more.
Cracking riding fella, rode it in reverse a couple of years back and came down lower man then Sticks Pass. Must try the Dockray route or up Kepel Cove and down Dollywagon some day soon.
That's a super smooth run! I rode this today for the first time and it bit a couple of times, especially on the drainage ditches... I don't think the camera can do it justice as to how steep and technical this is. Awesome effort!
I'm afraid not, but if you pop on bing maps and enable the OS map view then for the complete ride: We started at patterdale, north on roads to dockray, west on road then bridlepath up to Great Dodd then south along the top to Helvellyn, carry on over Nethermost Pike then the video starts on Dollywagon, down to Grisedale tarn (80% rocky steps), north east down the valley on natural style path back to Patterdale. Hope that's of some vague use?
Just wondering what tyres you were running? It looks like they survived a good mauling by all the rocks! I ride a lot in the Lakes and I regularly have to repair my tyres. I suppose my line choices could be better ;-)

Appreciation of this music-less vid. Respect for the fells is paramount. Thank you for posting....despite un-required expletives.
excellent video great determination to the end. Fantastic machine.

Video never does things justice! Hope the weather was relatively kind too
Great riding. Looks like a real bone shaker of a route.
cheers for putting this up, was considering this route so very helpful.
Did it today absolutely horrible conditions! Still an epic ride, I need to go back when the weathers fine tho, looks a completely different place!
Cheers for the heads up, found out one of my mates knows it too, look forward to having my arse kicked on it this summer!

Fair play that’s mental. I climbed up that way in June in the worst weather.

Its a great trail and yeah I did it end of May and I seemed to find it easier than back then

Rode from patterdale up past Dockray and rode/pushed up to Great Dodd and then rode/pushed/carried the bike up to Helvellyn that way. Great day out!
fancy a go at this......how did you get up there in the first place? don't fancy riding/pushing the bike up there!!
