    OMG Tara you rock! Nobody is as thorough as you on swatches. I do not need this. Nobody with the Tarte juicy does. Thank you so much for all your hard work and honesty 🥰

      How do you like that tarte palette?? I still use my in bloom palette and I’ve had it forever. I haven’t bought from them for a long time so curious to hear your thoughts

    • @eleanorsandborne1469
      @eleanorsandborne1469 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I respectfully disagree. As someone who owns both palettes the swatches can be deceiving. The Tarte shimmer shades are a lot more subtle on the eye than the Mario palette. The Mario formula is almost gel-like and it gives a very wet and sparkly look on your lids. The Tarte shimmers are more subtle than that and don't have the same intensity on the eyes. Some people may not like the wet look and will prefer the Tarte but I just don't think they compare as far as the shimmers go. The mattes are very close however!

    I feel like this should be priced at around $49. I'd probably pick it up if it were in that price point. Thanks so much for the swatches. Super helpful!

    This was such an in-depth review, thank you Tara! Admittedly this palette doesn't interest me for a similar reason to the Patrick Ta palettes: for nearly $70 I want excellent formulas and packaging like Natasha Denona, or more variety in shades like how Charlotte Tilbury does her usual holiday palettes.
    The topper formulas sound a lot like the ones in many K-Beauty palettes, and while I get the appeal I'd rather grab one of those and mattes from Natasha for a complete look. Thank you for saving me money!

    • @scray00
      @scray00 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So true people need to just buy some iridescent multi chromes or super sparkly shadows from any indie brand and then use all the mattes you already have. I have all my sparkly pretties in a magnetic palette. It’s so easy to pick one and then find the mattes I want in other palettes.

    • @hilmilblaemi
      @hilmilblaemi ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Can you recommend a good K-pop brand that is not too expensive for those toppers? Thanks 🙏🏻

    • @ivyscripting7240
      @ivyscripting7240 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@hilmilblaemi Sure! If you want exclusively glittery toppers, romand has a "Light & Glitter Garden" Better Than Palette. Etude Color Play Eyes Mini Jewelry and CLIO Twinkle Pop Pearl Flex Glitter Palettes are quads composed of mostly pearls and glitter shades.
      The CLIO Pro Eye palettes have a mix of matte and glitter shades, though I only recommend if you're fair to light as they don't have a lot of depth. If you're exclusively into glitters I'd recommend the other three options first as they're most companion palettes.

  • @bethyboowho
    @bethyboowho ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Mine was delivered yesterday. I had no issues, and I absolutely adored the look that I was able to achieve. When I took the shadow off late last night, it was still looking great. My eyes looked as if I had just applied the shadow, including the Pearl toppers. I was really impressed because I hadn’t used primer, and this never happens when I wear glitters.
    Thanks for the review and the swatches.

    For the price point, we REALLY needed a deeper shade in the palette. Perhaps it’s more beautiful in person, but on camera the palette is a snooze and I love neutrals! As always, love your thorough reviews! 🥰

    I have the Tartelette Full Bloom 28 pan palette and it’s almost a dead on dupe. Plus it was only $52 with over double the shades and I love the formula. This is a pass for me. Awesome review Tara, as always!❤

    • @scray00
      @scray00 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So glad to hear your thoughts on the tarte palette. I haven’t bought from them since I got my in bloom and toasted palettes which I still use. It’s funny how tarte is on a lot of peoples radar these days. Nice to hear the shadows are still good. They could be kind of hit or miss in the past.

    • @trishamarie
      @trishamarie ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes! I have the full bloom and use it daily. I had to buy a back up because I hit pan on my two favorite mattes😂

    • @trishamarie
      @trishamarie ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@scray00 their small palettes are not always good. Their huge palettes are always excellent and their 12 pans are always excellent. I like Tarte shadows because they are good and a decent price. I don’t like spending too much on small palettes when there are so many other options out there.

    • @Vladi0310
      @Vladi0310 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I bought both, I actually prefer Mario, maybe because I have used tarte a little too much and for some reason smell gets to me, also those 3 shades- I see similar in some way in tarte, but not the same. These 3 I call “classy shimmers” 😂 if the price wasn’t an issue, would you still go with tarte?

    • @juliespitzer7005
      @juliespitzer7005 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Vladi0310 I completely get what you’re saying, for me it isn’t just price, I have so many ND & PMG palettes, and so many neutral…I just didn’t need 1 more so similar to what I already had lol. And I just don’t think his formula compares to ND or PMG, but I’m glad you’re enjoying it. 😘

    I own this palette. I purchased it along with the Natasha Denona. “I need aNude Palette. I probably didn’t need both, but I wanted them so….I agree with you in terms of the pigment level causing blending issues. Also a lot of fallout. I also own the Going Coconuts palette and find it to be easier to work with. (And a fraction of the price of the Mario palette). Thanks again for a very thorough review. Love the swatches! Great job! I agree about the palette being overpriced. I find it surprising. Natasha Denona’s palettes have 15 eyeshadows and the quality is exceptional. I believe the price is now $69. It was $65. I have never tried the Tarte palette you said was the closest to the MBM palette. I worry about a smell or fragrance because I have very sensitive eyes. But it is a much better value. I think the light colour you don’t like blending, from what I see the undertone leans more on the cool side and the brown shade has more warmth. So layered together it may seem ‘muddled’. I guess that’s just a shade you can only use with other similar cool undertone shades.

      YIKES. 😫 That's definitely pricey, and I would definitely pick the ND over the MbM for sure👏

    Hey Tara, I decided to skip this one. I have a lot of palettes and most are neutral palettes. I love neutral palettes and I don’t mind buying different brands neutral palettes. But the price and the fact that I have been trying to cut down on purchasing so much makeup. But it is beautiful and the looks you did are so beautiful. Hope all is well and stay safe. Love you Tara.

    It seems the whole video started with pre-conceived negativity. I like your videos, but I don’t think that review was all that honest and impartial. Complaining of too much pigment is really strange coming from you. I do love the juicy palette, but the original version is no longer available. The 68$ is a lot, but still barely up to Tom Ford prices which is no better quality whatsoever. Awesome job on the swatches ! Anyways, my 2 cents.

    I picked up this palette and one of the Gucci blushes with my rouge discount. I’m kind of regretting the palette though, so I might return it without even swatching it.

    I was so excited to grab this, I bought it online on launch day and Sephora’s shipping is taking over a week right now. I found it in store yesterday and picked it up and I’m writing this comment from my bathroom while getting ready for work. My look is simple with the mattes and my eyes are looking a little grey and dingy too. 😢 I’ll keep playing with it but I’m super disappointed on my first try.

    I love the look of the shades, they are abit of me lol. Having trouble getting it in the UK, Sephora in the UK don't have it and a few other sites are charging £86 plus p&p. I'll have to wait, story of my life 😂😂. Looks wicked on you Tara, but then what doesn't 🙄😂😘

    I really liked the look of this palette when saw it viewed via video. It wasn't a shock to me when you mentioned the price, due to living in Australia, our make-up prices are through the roof. I made a rough guess that it may turn out to be up to AU$120.00 at most. I wasn't prepared for seeing it listed on Mario's website for AU$135.00!!! Other palettes he has listed for AU$94.00 but are sold at Sephora for AU$78.00! It's the same with all of his prices on his website, they are all massively marked up and this is prior to tax and shipping! The prices at Sephora include everything. There's something strange going on with this brand that doesn't sit well with myself. I've been trying some brands that I haven't used before such as NARS and By Terry and really liked the look of this palette. Yet, this one I'll be passing on due to the deceptive pricing. Anyone else purchasing from his website should compare his prices to Sephora first. What a shock this video turned out to be!🇦🇺💖🕊

    Thank you for your honest opinion. This palette kinda reminded me of Linda Haldberg palette - New golden 20s (not sure about the name). However, the surprising turn of events - this new Mario palette is 88 EUR.. 88 EUR - like what the heck?

    Best comparisons! TY! In 2022 the real innovation in neutrals is going to be about texture/finish/formula, not color. It's very similar in color to Empowered, Juicy and Glam. Even though I own all 3 of those, I still got this lol 😑 because it brings unique textures. I'll pass on ND Retro Glam though. MBM is overpriced though -- should be $50 max.

    Hi Tara, thanks for your in depth review ❤ this palette caught my attention but it's too pricey: €88 for Europe! Here is no sephora to pick it on sale. I would buy it on sale but I don't see any need to justify it's purchasing with full price 😄

    You do such a wonderful job reviewing these new palettes Tara! Love all your swatches and comparisons so much❤ I didn’t really “need” this palette, but it’s my first one from Mario and with it having those glossy wet shades that’s what drew me in😂I’m so excited to get this and try his formulas out and create looks with it! I love the looks you done and will reference back when mine gets here in a few days❤

    Thanks for your hard work on this review Tara. I have Going Coconuts and it’s my favorite CP palette and i agree on your assessment. I also have “Feeling Bubbly” and looking at both imo it’s pretty much the MBM palette. Although those metallic shades are more bumped up it’s not enough for me to spend my 🪙 even at 20% off. it’s very pretty no doubt. I agree on the price. i really balked when i saw $68. i’ll be passing on this one.

    This palette is $85 in Canada 🇨🇦. It’s definitely too expensive here. Even if you take off the VIB 20%, this palette is $68 CAD. If I’m going to drop that amount of cash, I’d rather have a Natasha Denona palette.
    I do like the MBM skin perfector and enhancer. I have them both in the lightest shades as I am very fair. I perhaps could have gone to the light-medium shade in the balm version. My daughter has porcelain skin shade. I’m one up from her, so I’m still not sure about light-medium shade.

    Just gorgeous Tara. ❤ I feel like this palette also looks awfully a lot like the one from by redo also, which I have, and a bunch of others yes. Im still attracted to this palette because it’s also my kind of colour story, but because I live in Europe I don’t get a 20% off but a 25% on😭🤣
