I've been eyeing the contour palette for years, but they're so crazy expensive. I'm going to try one now during the sale, though. They look amazing! The flash really does help to see to both the color and the undertones. A trick I use in the store when I'm swatching something is to put in my hand (obviously) and then after I've gotten a good look, swipe if off (in one sweep) with a white tissue or cotton round. You get a much better idea of the undertone on the tissue/cotton. That's saved me from getting something too warm on many occasions.
WOOOOW!!!! Hand to heaven Tara Lynn, the 'highlighters as eye shadow' looks blew me away!! In all honestly I didn't think they'd actually look as beautiful and as smooth as they do on the lid. Somewhere along the way, I must've (erroneously) believed that in order for shadows to look as air brushed, as smooth & as fluid as they do on your lids, it would take *so much more effort* than your 1, 2, swipe, apply, add structure & !BOOM! all done, application !! *THIS is exactly why I watch* (& in many cases, re-watch, then re-re-watch) your eye videos: I just learn so many cool tips, tricks & techniques. Awesome video!!

I’m enjoying this newly reformulated TF Intensity 2. I didn’t care for the original. This formula dries down more matte which I love, since I don’t like it when my hair sticks to cream face products.

Thank you for yet another thorough review! I have loved my Shade and illuminate contour duo (0,5) for a long time and was worried they would change the formula. Every time I use it I am as surprised as to how natural and blend able this is! Also love the very subtle cream highlight that many forget exist in this duo, it’s so pretty!

I love the Rare also, have shade Happy Sol, also love the CT one you showed, in the lightest shade And Chanel, discovered their cream bronzers last summer, but, like the Chantecaille skin tint, it's still more a summer thing, or when doing a warm toned look, because i miss more cool shades for lighter complexions, well, for all complexions. The TF Shade and Illuminate, love them!!! Don't need new ones, have from the cream contour bronze highlight palettes, shade 0.5 for winter and shade 1 for summer, i just love these cream contours as well!!! And more cream contours, but these, i love the most. I'm gonna give away what does not work, also for to bold eyeshadows (most difficult as eyeshadow addict) but don't want a makeup museum here Tara. O, and the highlighter duo i have, as you can expect the most easy colour combination for my complexion Moodlight, still love it! Of course i don't take these tomorrow for a midweek holiday, the CT product is so easy, the little Cle de Peau cream blushes, the new light pink highlighter stick from Suqqu, so subtle, easy for out of the door, so pretty! Loved the video, and great to use beautiful complexion products of the high refined quality also as eyeshadow, packed the Hourglass Tiger palette, i mainly bought it because i was so happy they finally delivered there for Chelsea and all our friends with beautiful deeper complexion, but i believe you said that in a previous video, Hourglass is great on the eyes, and it is, gonna try with this one as well!!! Tara, I have looked for years to find products to treat “orange peel” skin and makeup to minimize the look and … for the love, I have never found anyone who comments using this terminology until today! You are the first person I have heard refer to the dimply skin as orange peel … I’ve for years said the same thing - my “orange peel chin” makes me so crazy! Please share any products you have found to improve the appearance! I can never not see it when I look at myself.

Hi Tara! The highlighter duos are really beautiful! Will you please recommend a great powder highlighter brush? I use the Hourglass strobe highlighter palette, and I want to find the best brush to use for application of the strobe palette.
I have used the Sigma tapered highlighter brush for years. If you're looking for a natural hair brush, I highly recommend the Wayne Goss Edit brush 3 (It's been sold out, but I'm hoping it restocks soon). Or the Rephr # 18 brush. Good Morning, this is a great video. Very helpful, but you mentioned Tan Light as the more golden highlighter. All I am finding on Sephora’s website is Mood Light and Nude Light. Is Tan light only sold at a specific retailer?
I think Tanlight sold out at Sephora. It was available the night the sale began. But, it disappeared the next day🤷♀️ Tan light is still on Sale at Nordstrom, go.magik.ly/ml/1muos/ I would grab it there😁
The contour duo feels more balm to powder to me now, they also made it darker 😢. Makeup by Mario’s enhancer is my new go to now, it’s comparable & I guess it’s better especially at the cost lol
I have heard so many people loving the skin enhancer from Makeup By Mario. I bought Med dark and it doesn't hardly show up on me🤷♀️ I am thinking about going on store and swatching them so I can hopefully find a shade that works. I know it's meant to be more invisible, natural, but as i build med dark it looks muddy 🤷♀️ I'm definitely going to look into more and see if I am doing something wrong, or need a better shade because I am so curious 😁 Thank you for sharing your experience and suggestions, always appreciated ❤️❤️❤️

The charlotte tilbury contour wand looked super similar to the tom ford intensity 2, are there any significant differences? Super helpful swatches!
Nothing significant. They both blend out easily, both set down on the skin. The CT dries a little faster than the TF. But, they're very similar 😁
