We’re launching a major patch to Early Access (which is available now on Steam and GOG)! Praise the Divine! Swen has more information about our latest additions and, in an effort to help explain the new concepts, has invented an entirely new technique for sharing the changes. The only dev that can show a game patch with kitchen utensils and make perfect sense.
His enthusiasm is catchy. Game looks to be coming along really well.

Larian and CDProjekt Red are by far the best RPG devs for me. Totally awesome people.
CDProjekt Red treated its employees like crap.
Seriously, I used to think they were amazing too but they forced overtime and underpaid most of their developers when making the Witcher 3. Larian seems like a much nicer environment.
They have a bit of a reputation among employers.
Here's an extract from an employee that left:
"Management is piss-poor, with nobody there who can actually manage
people. It consists of old time employees that are there because of
their time investment in the company. Producers are often young and
inexperienced as well. This combined together ensures absurd amount of crunch. For some people it was more than TWO years. Of course taking days is near impossible. Following that, even the best employees can be denied promotion based on some contrived reasoning and others can be promoted despite not meeting the requirements. This makes the promotion system hollow, since it can be broken at will with seemingly no repercussions. Employee retention is terrible.
Any employee who is unhappy with his position at the company is automatically assumed to be leaving immediately and no effort is being made to keep them. This leads to a large amount of amateurs in every department. There is nothing setup for people who are trying to learn. It's sink or swim in this company from the start until the end. It has no courses or even documentation for learning tools (which are incredibly rudimentary).
This company doesn't invest in it's employees at all. You are expected to get better on your own. If you want to learn Game Development this place is not for you. The company is also extremely cheap towards its employees. Despite the success of the Witcher, QA is paid around the minimum wage, which is barely anything in Poland. Any other employees do not earn the amount they could working at an international company. Raises are few and far between."
Cider Gnome I'm so happy that I bought D:OS 2 out of the blue a few days ago. Heard good things about D:OS but never played it. Now I'm having a blast playing the early access and can't wait for the full game

well all the critic comes from an anonymous "insider". its not a wise thing to believe everything a noname posted on the internet, isnt it? against this one statement there are multiple positive reviews about cdproject at glassdoor for example. i dont know whats true and what not because all of the are made anonymous, but to judge a company because of one anonymous complaint is stupid, to spread them as a given fact is even more stupid.
I love this! Everything about this update. Polymorph and Summoning looks very fun :)
You know I bought you game by accident. Then I found out it was turn based and I'm not a turn based guy. I was sure I would hate it. So I played the first five minutes and I have never been happier with a mistake. It is one of my favourite games on current gen. You guys made the first run based game I ever fell in love with, thank you. Can't wait for part two.

Really like his energy and the pretty often updates. makes it feel like they are not just wasting time and money but actually makeing stuff. And OT: Love the spell schools.

I must say that I am incredibly impressed with your desire to make this a game that's truly expanding on the first game's concepts and roleplaying abilities, as opposed to just surfing on its success and the money already put in by the crowdfunding.
I was very sad when Larian pushed the release date, but in time (after I went throught original sin 1, again, and through early access, again) I remembered how fun the first game was and how fantastic what we've seen so far is. So now I'm not sad anymore, I'm into zen level patience mode. Do your thing, you guys are awesome!

Not only Swen makes the most charming development updates, he's actually convinced me to play rpg as a summoner for the first time in my life.
I just love you guys I still play the original sin enhanced edition and I love every moment can't wait to finish that and move to divinity original sin 2.
Mess is Lore... Really enjoy the game, can't wait to play it in full but do take your time. Best current studio in my opinion.

what an update! The only question i have is, will the normal elemental summons (like fire elemental etc) be in their respective trees or will they be moved to the summoning tree?
The DOS2 music is so good, I played it just because I want to listen to the music.
Last time someone got me this hyped for a game was Warhammer Online's PR guy. He was good. I got burned once Larian Studios. Please... mend this broken heart. Teach me to trust once more!

Guys, you are just awesome.
Being able to fight your party members, combined with good dungeon tools, can get interesting, like persistent worlds servers for example.
I just hope, hope, HOPE that the toolset will be nice and it will form a community like Neverwinter Nights had.

Fantastic. Waiting for the Game Master mode and modding tools is getting hard. Took me about 30 hours to finish the alpha in absolute detail, amazing, just as the first game was.
I'm having quite a bit of fun with the Arena as well. Will the modding tools allow us to tweak the characters we get in Arena mode ? That would be a good thing, minor, but good.
EDIT : I noticed the Comeback Kid talent changed, tho' I don't recall seeing that in the patch notes. Nice tweak, btw, makes it maybe less opey in addition with healing spells.

Played the first area a couple times in EA and will not play more so it doesn't get spoiled for the release. Game looks absolutely amazing though. Helps to have passionate devs.

I hope all goes well for this game. My friend Mark and I beat the last one co op on the PS4. We are chomping at the bit to be able to play the second installment. I would love to see light spells that do Holy damage. Paladin, tank and paragon til death and after.
I love the look of Polymorphing. Polymorphing + warrior skills could be a super fun mobile tank with range options.

tbh when I first saw the summoning here it seemed a bit underwhelming buuuut when you actually think about it -- it has a ton of utility and combo potential, I actually believe that it'll be very fun to play! that being said, I think the hairy imp could use some makeover! anywho, you guys rock, can't wait for more updates and ofc for the game to come out! :D
5:05 How many tiers of skills will be added? And how much they'll costs? Like +1 cost for 1 tier? If so, that isnt this too much? Or this skill will be VERY powerful?
Blood surfaces look mighty delicious, I have to say.
I am glad that I am not only one who waits on game to be full version before I start playing it. But I am burning out to have that game already released at full version. I am just afraid that they dont make some of this skills

Hi, great game! could make it so that the characters don't stop moving when you exchange items from one characters inventory to another, so I can walk accross the map and still manage inventory while my chars are moving? Cheers, Keep up the good work.

This game looks incredible in every aspect, I had to stop myself from playing the EA so I don't overplay. I got like 80 hours and can't wait to have 4000.

There are currently no plans for any DLC or add-ons.

Why not make the incarnate a bit bigger? It doesn't look very intimidating.
I don't think it's supposed to be very intimidating, as it's a level 1 skill that you can start with.
Think of Summon Familiar from the D&D games (Baldur's Gate etc.); those things are tiny af!
They became giants at lvl 10 summoning

I got the lvl 6, already got the cursed ring, but last save was made 4 hours ago. Im pushed quick save button about 3 hours ago, and save progress was infinite, i've played this 3 hours without chance to save. I decided to force close the game, but when launched again only the 4h save was available. Conclusion: waiting for full version. This EA bugs too annoying to play

It should be fine on medium to high graphics settings, at a reasonable resolution; your video card's performance is right about the middle between the minimum and recommended GPU.

Could I come with a suggestion? Why not add race specific visual spells, like dragon wings for the lizard and bony wings for undead humans.
