when I got my 104 the guy who sold it to me said it didn't have much power for mowing hills... So the first thing I did was take the 48" deck up a VERY steep hill (probably not acceptable according to the owners manual) and it did fine. The little 10 horse is really all you need, I haven't found a reason to need more anyway lol. I'll be honest its slow and steady, but the old Cubs don't exactly ride smoothly over rough terrain anyway, So you want to go slow. Its not bad for a 52 year old 400cc motor.
My dad has a 122 he bought it when I was 6 years old I’m now 60 years old the tractor is 54 years old my dad is 90 years old he still has the 122 he bought it brand new it still run like a champ due to proper maintenance
Kenneth Cochran awesome!! I'm 33 yo and bought my first cub cadet 124 few months back, is running but needs some work, no deck but metal in good shape, hope to keep this one and my other 2 Wheel Horse for many more years!

I'm trying to find a way to keep hood vibration down on my 122 . So where did you get the white stick on stuff with the plastic on it?
How hard is it to find parts for a 122 these days? Thx
