I was always fond of this song after seeing Frances L play it in the movie. Then i found out the Father's is the second half of the Computer Blue song. Since i play bass, i learned it on bass.
My daughter got a keyboard for Xmas.. I was if she don't use it then I just gonna learn to play fathers song on an endless loop n cry in my room 😢

This has been my Favorite Prince “song” for decades. I’m not really that fond of the recorded version though. Only the movie version. I have heard many people try to play it and you are by far the closest. But as you say early in the video, there are (or seem to be) a few notes missing. Is there a difference in the version Frances L is “playing” in the movie or am I hearing notes that aren’t there lol?

Just break it down section by section. There is no rush. You can pause, rewind and do whatever you need to do. Just take your time and you will eventually have it down
