Just finished the second boss in this game on the Nintendo Switch SNES collection, and wanted to see it speedrun. Glad to know that the last few items I needed to 100% were tricky enough I never would've found them, so no spoilers, lol. Now that I know how to get the final ending, I can fight the Dark^2 Demon for myself! I didn't know it existed, but I knew something more than Phalanx had to be in this game! And I didn't even get the fight spoiled! Amazing game, especially for its time, and an excellent speedrun!
The music in this game is fantastic, especially "Dance of the Snowy Barrens" at 20:00 and "Palace of Decadence" at 37:54. Check /watch?v=RJr3B3ZRF2k for the full OST.
Oh god ESA really has to step up their sound mixing game! I really want to look some of those speedruns, but I can't understand the couch, because then the donations reader is so loud that I nearly die of an heart attack every time :(
So is this like a reverse Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts where you play an arremer? Pretty cool run! Edit: Oh! Just read the wiki and it's the third game in the GNG series, with some bits of ActRaiser. Neat!

Demon's Crest is one of my favorite SNES games I've ever played and I am very happy to see it here!

No, GDQ and ESA are two seperate events. GDQ is american based while ESA is european. Both are awesome though ^^
