@@fsmjr27 That was the exact hand and flop against my pocket jiggities a few weeks ago. I was on the button and raised to $15 preflop after a few limpers in my 1/2 NL game. Ugh, really? I bet a little less than pot on the flop, and he shipped it. I mucked and he showed.

@@mingi1489 with a monotone flop, where I can be drawing dead to the board pairing, against a second barrel, I think that's a fold, and even on the river there are still better boats out there so the raise against a pot sized bet can also be bad in some cases. In short, there is more than enough reasons to fold on the turn and maybe just flat call on the river.
@@mingi1489 there are a ton of hands you're losing to that Brad could have based on his line including all hearts, jacks, 10s. All you're beating at that point is J10 and bluffs. The turn bet also looks like a value bet which he floated and hit 1/4 outs to win.

@@paulthompson9668 no your goal is to extract money off your opponents weak hands..but you really cant call river because he is not able to bluff with Ah on that board, and after that big bet on river.
You could of played for a lot less time, and cashed out 2k. Getting up from the table, can sometimes be the hardest part of poker.
hit & run is a bad look, and poker is about the longterm and knowing whether or not you're playing in a good game and also playing your A game. If the game is good and you're playing well then there is no reason to book a win just because things start off hot.
Getting away from results oriented thinking like this as well...

Loved that last hand. Did exactly what you needed to on the river
that's a really interesting way to analyze the guy in the last hand. My thoughts would have been that if he is worried about playing big, he's going to be playing tighter, ands thus his opening range utg+1 would be pretty strong, and the check raise on the flop would look monstrous to me. I almost certainly would have folded. Thank you for opening my eyes to this perspective!
Opening for small pairs in early position isn’t out of the question for tight players.. ( depends on his habits) that’s why watching everyone and everything at the table is so important..
