    • @pops5525
      @pops5525 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Exactly. Based on the distance travelled, they should have planned better and been in the right lane before this clip even started. So many people with phones nowadays (and cameras), yet they don't use the GPS effectively to be in the lane they need to be in at the time they should be. At the speed they were going, they were already less than a mile from the exit, but instead are in the passing lane.

      If I give the driver the benefit of the doubt, that car looks like a Chevy Impala, and GM's traction control systems of that era will get you stuck more often than not. I owned a '99 Intrigue and always had to turn off Traction Control to get anywhere in the snow, even with studdable snow tires. Nothing quite like having your foot halfway to the floor, and the engine idling at 750 rpm, because you're in an inch of snow and the nannies want to prevent even the slightest slip of the front right wheel.

      The problem with lights in america are, the timing between the yellow to red changeover can vary significantly even across the same state, the yellow is typically very short on fast roads, some states you can't be in the intersection after it turns red, some states you can't cross the line after it turns red, and some states they don't even tell you.
      This all becomes a bigger problem when many people are speeding through intersections and they will never have time to stop safely.

    5:14 downshift or shift into neutral to slow down better when slipping. Neutral will stop forward momentum from going to your wheels whereas downshifting will reduce the forward momentum to your wheels. Those 2 options also allow for it to be easier to steer away from a crash because your tires will still be moving. It’s saved me multiple times in upstate NY.

    3:35 - Close call between TWO red light runners...
    4:31 - ProTip: It is better to maintain a steady speed you're unhappy with, instead of constant and ridiculous variations in speed and tailgating distance. (74 mph at 4:31, 55 mph at 4:35, 77 mph at 4:43.) Not only will you save gas, but also wear and tear on your car.
    "Why the truck needs to go over 75?" I dunno. Why the Californian cammer needs to take exit at 57 mph? (Yes, I deliberately copied your grammar.) And yes, you DID cut him off. We're not blind. He's likely moving with the flow of traffic, and you're moving with the flow of "I'm the only one on the street."
    5:17 - I'm confused. Are you admitting to keeping your brakes in poor condition, an inability to adjust your driving techniques as the weather/road conditions warrant, or both? FFS give yourself MORE THAN DOUBLE the room you think you need to stop - you can always let up on the brake and coast up slowly to traffic, but you can't Ctrl-Z after plowing into someone. Take it from someone who's been driving in New England winters since 1994, and "miraculously" hasn't EVER rear-ended another car. (Holy cow, have I really had my license for 30 years?)
    5:24 - Bully - I mean, Bulleigh - being a left-lane hog yet again... Seriously, if you're going to drive like a... (Well, I can't say any of the things I'm thinking because we are a more Enlightened Society...) If you can't drive properly, don't post your videos for the rest of the world to see just how... (Yeah, I can't say that either...) You are. What the Econoline did was clearly wrong, but most of us can't really be mad at them. TRAFFIC IN LITERALLY EVERY OTHER LANE is zooming past you on your right like you're standing still, meaning you're not PASSING in the PASSING LANE. Notice how, once you left the passing lane, the Econoline no longer engaged with you? He made his point, you got your ass out of the passing lane.
    In fact, being that you're the SLOWEST car on the highway, you should be in the extreme right lane, which is specially reserved for SLOWER traffic.

    What All Drivers Should Know from the Crash Prevention ...
    It is pretty straightforward if the light turns green to yellow, STOP (if it's safe to do so). Legally, every driver has to stop at a yellow light unless he or she is too close to the intersection to stop safely before entering the intersection.. con sidering the light changed to red before you cleared the intersection it is clear it was a stale yellow liught and you had plenty of time to stop
